This book is like the queen of all books so if they mess it up in any way i will cry!!! Too many books that have been turned into films have been ruined so i really dont want anything to happen to this book!!

I just can't wait for the trailer! The movie has been filmed for ages and I can't wait just to see a snippet of what's coming. So although I'm excited for the movie, I think my excitement will grow when we have actually seen what the movie is going to be like/what the actors are like as the characters (I'm really curious about Jeremy Irvine as Daniel, I loved him in other movies, so I can't wait to see how he plays Daniel).

I feel like when they started talking about this, it was the right time because the books were still selling in a frenzy but now... I mean, no one really talks about them anymore... I feel like they waited too long and now I don't know if anyone is going to care much.

I'm still a little excited, but since I've been waiting 2 years since the announcement it's lost some of its splendor.

CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH IT!!!

At this point I'm not even excited anymore. They've been talking about a film since 2013, then it's been made since 2014. What's the hold up? No promos or trailers, a couple of pictures that are a couple of years old... I just feel like they've waited so long it's no longer relevant or exciting. It says September 2016, but I feel like they missed the prime opportunity to do this.
I hope they did the books justice, though.

I cried when the trailer came out. I fell in love with the book before I even read it! I've waited FOREVER for at least leaked photos of the set and scenes and all that. The trailer looks awesome! Hopefully I'll say the same for the movie :)

I am on the Lauren Kate super fan thing, and she sent a message saying that we will be seeing more information and trailers in the next month. She will give the release date soon. There will be a never before seen US trailer coming out. I hope that answers your question.

soo.. I was watching part of this movie over the weekend. I fell asleep within the first 45 minutes.

I hope I am not the only who was thoroughly disappointed in the fact that they tried to shove all 3 books into a movie without much explanation and it was kinda really cheesy!!

There are some good shorts from the movie on YouTube and if you want to watch it, I know a place online that you can watch the movie for free (it is probably illegal, but I don't really know). I have heard this movie will finally be out in the US in August 2017, but not actually sure on that. The release date for the UK is set though (I believe it is May 2017), and you can pre-order a copy online at amazon.co.uk. Since it is from the UK, you won't be able to watch it in the US unless you have a region-free dvd player or a dvd player from that region. I have heard that the actors are already working on the sequel and I hope that is true, but still I haven't seen anything solid. So they didn't actually put all 3 books into one movie, that was just the first book.

I just was having a hard time watching it (like I said I could only watch 45 minutes of it BARELY) the acting was a little much or overly dramatic. And I really didn't like the way they portrayed the Announcers that followed Luce, they kept doing a lot of the flashbacks with them which technically didn't happen to book 3....

either way .. I think I need to sit back down and watch it completely awake! I was really excited to hear about a movie coming out since I really enjoyed the books!

It actually doesn't follow the book very closely, so it has it's flaws, but I enjoyed it. As with all movies, some parts of it are better than others. I hope you will give it another try and tell me what you think. I love Addison Timlin and Jeremy Irvine, so I am biased in the movie's favor. :)

Really? I, personally, quite liked the movie. Of course, some things were changed and it did make me upset, but that's what happens when you turn a book into a movie. I feel like they tried to fit all the books in the series into one hour and a half long movie.
Hopefully if the film does good, Torment could be in the making :)
