Just finished up The President's Shadow by Brad Meltzer, and this is the best book of the series so far! I highly recommend this series!
I've read quite a few thrillers of late and was ready for some fantasy. I came across a couple of book lists the other day, and BOTH of them recommended The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. I was curious and in the mood, so I snagged the ebook. WOW! What a fascinating and original story! Anyone who enjoyed The Magician series by Lev Grossman would enjoy this book, I think. Great book!
Good weekend to read because of the rain here on the East Coast. Have finished Yes, Chef, Marcus Samuelsson's memoir and Heather Graham's, The Hidden, the latest in her Krewe of Hunters series. Both good reads.
Read late into the night and finished Point Blank by Fern Michaels, the latest in her Sisterhood series. Another fun read.
Finally! Secrets were revealed in book 4 of the October Day series! Just finished Late Eclipses. I've got a purchased new release hitting my Kindle tomorrow. Once I finish that, it's on to book 5!

I wanted to visit so many of the themed tents. I cosplayed as as a reveur last year.
Last night I finished the final book in Kerry Greenwood's Corinna Chapman series, "Cooking the Books." I have enjoyed this series about an Australian baker and her eclectic group of friends.
I'm super proud of myself. I have giftcards to BN burning a hole in my pocket, and I waited and got Devoted in Death from the library instead of buying it. That's my latest library read. I think maybe the second print book I've done from the library this year, as I mostly do audio from the library. I also finished listening to The Heartbreaker by Carly Phillips. The good thing with finishing The Heartbreaker is that it finished a series I had started. Reading Devoted in Death keeps me up to date with that series. I'm patting myself on the back!
I just gobbled up The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman. It was my first of his books, and it certainly won't be my last! what a great storyteller!
Just finished Laura Lippman's "No Good Deeds." Another good read in this series. A little slow to begin with, but once it got going, it was really good.
Late last night I finished the latest in the Sue Grafton Kinsey Millhone series, "X." There was a lot going on and I really enjoyed it.
Finished reading Willow Brook Road by Sherryl Woods, the latest in the O'Brien of Chesapeake Shores family sage. Quick, enjoyable read.
One Salt Sea by Seanan McGuire was library book #36 for me this year and that meets my challenge level of Overdrive Junkie!
So...OverDrive is promoting two books for their "big library read." On a lark, I decided to try one. In the Shadow of Blackbirds by Cat Winters was a great read. Spooky, historical, and riveting. Good read!
Just finished "The House We Grew Up In" by Lisa Jewell. I read this book because it was one of the SheReads Fall choices for 2014. The subject was a family who put the D in dysfunctional. There was so much going on, that I couldn't put it down. There was suicide, divorce, adultery, drugs, hoarding, gay relationships. You name it, it was in there. But mostly, it was about a family, struggling, estranged, trying to reconnect. A truly engrossing read.
Finished "The End Game" by Catherine Coulter and J. T. Ellison. Another good installment in this series. These 2 authors write well together. The characters of Michaela and Nicholas are becoming more and more familiar and their relationship is starting to flow well. The mystery is helped along by the addition of 2 of Coulter's characters from her long-running FBI series, Savich and Sherlock. All together an enjoyable read.
Late last night, I finished Emily Liebert's "Those secrets we Keep." I didn't love this book, but it was an interesting and fairly engrossing story, so I would definitely read this author again.
I love Robyn Carr. I used to stalk her, but have moved on to wanting to stalk some other authors! I have been fortunate enough to meet Robyn Carr several times.Since I posted I finished The Island by Elin Hilderbrand. I really like her stories. They're all set in Nantucket and that allows someone like me who will probably never get there to learn a lot about the area.
I also finished Dashing Through the Snow by Debbie Macomber. Debbie Macomber used to be one of my favorite authors, and I feel like she's getting to be repetitive and this story felt a little unbelievable though I'm sure some of it could have happened.
Dashing through the snow was to be Ms. Macomber's Christmas Story, but to me it just fell flat as being a Christmas Story.
Hope everyone is reading great stuff!
I'm a big Robyn Carr fan too, although I like the Thunder Point series, I just am not as into it as I was her Virgin River series. Finally finished reading Mrs. Sinclair's Suitcase. It was not as good as I had hoped, I kept putting it down in favor of other reads. It was written in 2 time periods, present day and during World War I and it also used letters to tell a lot of the story. Sometimes this method works, but I didn't feel it worked that well with this book. It seemed too disjointed and didn't seem to flow very well, making it difficult to follow and not the most enjoyable read.
Even though I finished Sycamore Row by John Grisham in the wee hours of the morning on Nov 1, I read most of it in October. So I'm putting it on the October list. ;-) Great read!

Oh, it's far more than that! I've been tracking my savings all year. As of Sept 30, I've personally saved $598 by Snagging @ the Library. That's a total of 69 books figured at the lowest price I would have paid on Amazon. And that's just me! This has been a very enlightening experience!
