Hopefully this topic is not against the rules. Anyone else get a sense the aliens could be related to the vong?

I wish they used the Ssi-ruuk instead of the vong. I like them better but I also wonder if they aren't related in some fashion.

Lots of little similarities. Maybe cousins or something

no both races are in the end of NJO and have no realtion

i dont know enough about the vong to know i have yet to read the NJO i am only through the first couple of chapters of vector prime

I don't think they are "related" considering the Vong are humanoid and the Ssi-ruuk are more lizard like.

The fact that they are an external invasion force does bring thoughts of the Vong as well as the Yevetha.
