Mpauli I've just finished and have a crazy theory at the moment that I'd like to share.
In the last chapter Miles talked about sometimes feeling like he's two people at the same time.
Wax on the other hand repeatedly referred to being too similar to Miles.
Then there is always the mention of people like them, with an allomantic and feruchemical ability, being "twinborn".
I think that word wasn't used on accident by Sanderson and that Wax and Miles are somehow related. Not necessarily as birth twins. My crazy mind would really love, if Wax would be like a part of Miles that split away somehow.
A hint could be his name. With Wax, like a wax figure that is very close to the original.
Of course that is just a wild speculation, but I wanted to share it, cause it excited me.^^

Mpauli Okay, it turned out that I wasn't right. The second person Miles was referring to was his former self, which came out due to his Allomancy.

But how crazy was that epilogue? Wax's uncle being alive and turning out to be Mr. Suit caught me by surprise and of course Marsh turning up at the end was exciting. Can't wait to see where the story is going in the trilogy.

Yes, AoL is kind of the prologue for the Wax and Wayne trilogy that starts with Shadows of Self.
And there should be even another contemporary urban fantasy trilogy in between the steampunk one and the space one. So it seems there will be 13 Mistborn books in the end...and that's if Sanderson doesn't get struck by another inspiration like Wax and Wayne.

Sophie | 55 comments So many books, how exciting!
This book was a lot of fun. Marasi and Wayne were my favourite characters. Wayne is hilarious and Marasi is just plain awesome.
I loved Marsh's re-appearance, this series is shaping up to be quite an adventure.
I feel like the fact that Miles didn't die straight away at his execution may have been hinting towards something. That or he just swallowed a metalmind and they didn't find it.
