Read-a-Long with PRICEISWONG discussion

What did everyone think? Did you like the pictures Ransom Riggs added? Were you surprised by this book?
I know the first time I read this I really really liked it! Later I read the Graphic Novel and enjoyed that too! I thought it was really fun to see it brought to life! (I'm also really excited about the movie coming out!!)
I think I liked Hollow City even better than this one though! Who is planning on reading on in this trilogy?!

I've read this a year or two years ago and I find the book ok. I had issues with the writing style and the pacing is really slow. imo.

I was hoping for more of interaction between the characters but nah. nothing much happened. I think the pictures saved it up for me because I like how they are incorporated with the story..

It wasn't scary book to me.

So I tried to read this book when it first came out and I. Just never got into it. This time around however was a better outcome. I read the whole thing! I have to say I did enjoy it but I did have issues with pacing and how well the characters overall connected in the story, I agree with Beatrice if they would have had more interaction with eachother it would have been a whole lot easier to distinguish one characer from the other. Especially there in the last chapter when there was a lot going on in each scene.
