So far with this series I've really liked the books where Butcher puts things together. He has thrown some really great curveball surprises. He's kept me guessing which helps me overlook the predictable, unchanging characters. The "setup" books are a little dragging, but not as bad as some of the other fantasy setups.
In this book there seemed to be a bit of Character development. It makes me start to look at characters different and wonder where he is going with them. Dresden is almost the same old Dresden, just a little off. Though he is the main character, he didn't feel like the main focus through much of the book. This book was one of the just okay ones, and leaves me wondering and waiting to see where Butcher takes this storyline to.
