"Ok," Chris muttered to himself. "JUst pick the faction right for you." he was in the Hancock Building for the choosing ceremony. Some dauntless girl bumped him on her way by. "Whatch it dauntless!" said Chris.((your cue!))
Braeley scowled, but then regretted it the second later. She leaned in and whispered to Chris " Hey, if I were you, I'd know what to choose " She winked and walked to her seat among her family. The ceremony was about to begin.
((Is your charry picking dauntless? Mine is... It would be great if they both did))Chris walked to his seat and sat down.
Jeanine Mathews, a well respected leaded from Erudite, gave a brief speech on stage. First, there were two amity girls, one transferring to Candor, the other to Abnegation. Finally, Jeanine announced Braeley's name. Medli, Braeley's Mom, squeezed her hand before Braeley walked up on to the stage.
Chris smirked as the Dauntless girl he barely knew walked to the stage. "Where are you going?" He muttered.
Braeley rolled her eyes and replied, " Didn't you hear her call my name? " Sighing, she grabbed the knife, secretly hoping the Erudite boy would pick Dauntless as well. Wincing, she dropped a pool of her blood into the burning coals. She had hoped she had made the right choice.
A gun shot went off. Suddenly, all Braeley could see was a swarm of different colors rushing towards the doors. She was pulled off stage by a warm, callused hand. It was the Erudite boy.
((Oh gods... Science today...))"What did you do to piss these guys off?!" Yelled Chris. He pulled the girl into a side room.
Braeley replied " I.. I don't know. It might have been my choice. The gunshot came from the erudite section over to dauntless. We need to get to dauntless to see what happened. Like, now." Braeley opened the door and dashed torwards the stairs without warning.
"Oh my god! You were just shot! You are STILL running? What is wrong with you dauntless!" yelled Chris as he followed her.((Two things: WHERE'D YOU GO?!?!?! that's all really ;) ))
((can you, like, not just post one comment then leave? or at least tell me when you're going to do it? please? just makes it easier... Thanks!))
A quiet Amity girl observed the radical events unfurl with out a word. The rouge girl walk on stage in the middle of the ceremony, her dramatic fall that happened for seemingly no reason, how an Erudite boy rushed to make sure everything was okay, and lastly how she ran out the door like a man runs from a rabid dog. The hall sat in complete silence, even Janine seemed stunned. It wasn't long before the whispers started. They were swiftly cut off by Janine's loud voice, "I'm sorry for the inconvenience everyone. Shall we continue?" A name was called and she rushed to the back of the room to speak with some guards. They whispered quietly, so quietly almost no one noticed. But Grace noticed, as always. She turned her attention back to the crowd long enough to see an Abnegation girl return to her faction.
A booming voice called another name, "Chris Waters."
Chris walked up to the stage nervously and cut his hand over the dauntless bowl. He knew all about erudite and he wasn't risking anything.
Another transfer, Grace took note of the gasp of a family in the Erudite section- his family. They were clearly heartbroken yet too prideful to show it. The Erudite boy sat amongst a cloud of blacks in reds known as Dauntless. An unexpected choice yes, but one Grace intended to make her self. Times passes names were called. Finally after two more transfers and eight stays it was Grace's turn to walk up to the stage and make her choice.
She cut her right palm with the knife provided. When she walked in to the building she thought she had made a decision but now- standing in front of her future- she wasn't so sure.
Her plan had been simple. Choose Dauntless and get out of her brothers shadow. She had a plan! But as she stood in front of the five bowls she remembered the look on the factionless faces. Empty, hungry, defeated. She knew that Dauntless training was rough- she knew! She had even practiced, she ran in the fields more, carried heavier sacks of grain. She thought she was ready: thought. Looking at the Dauntless now with their wild eyes and strong builds she reconsidered her choice. Could she do it? Was she strong enough. Her test results were little help. They didn't tell her anything but that she was dishonest and not cut out for charity work. Divergent. She was divergent.
She had to decide then and there. As a final plea for help she looked at the latest Dauntless initiates. The Erudite boy gazed up at the stage with curiosity.
That settled it. If a bookworm from Erudite could do, then so could she. She thrust her fist over the burning coals just as her blood made it's first drop. That was it. She was -nearly- dauntless.
((Hold up. I'm really confused. The blurring of colors was supposed to be all the factions swarming, Braeley wasn't shot, and Braeley urged Chis up the stairs toward the train that leads to Dauntless. Grace can follow, or... Braeley and Chis can come back, or just Braeley I guess. Where are we exactly?))
( Let's start over, except this can be a part where Braeley and Chris are running up the flight of stairs to reach the Dauntless train so that we can get into the initiations)
