Emilia Evelyn Hayes was born into a family of retired Drive Team members who were still able to live off of their salaries they'd saved. She was born the youngest of three, the other two both boys. Her parents, naturally, wanted them to continue the legacy of the great Hayes warriors, and trained their children to be assassins from the moment they were born. Emilia had always aspired to be great and do great things, and, when she was too little to understand what was going on, wanted to be on the Drive Team. She trained and trained, but she had always lived in the shadow of her two older brothers. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't beat them. But Emilia, ever the optimist back then, never gave up and kept pushing for that spot on the legendary Drive Team. She kept pushing until she was sixteen, when her eyes were opened to the horrors of the city and why they were so horrible. It was then that her brothers had decided not to join the Drive Team, and had run away into relationships of their own. Immediately, she blamed the Young-God family, as a rebellious, angry teen would do. It certainly didn't help that she fell in love with a rebel. He was her everything, and she loved him with a passion that was fiercer than anyone could have. But when she was nineteen, and he was twenty, he was captured by the Young-God family, and word spread of his brutal execution. Blinded by fury and rage, Em joined the rebel cause immediately, and, driven by her anger, climbed the ranks until she found herself in the best possible position for her now cold, unforgiving eyes. She was the trainer of the New Americana, and she was going to bend those kids until they broke.

Ruthless, cunning, and cold, Em is not the person to mess around with. She is a lean, mean, killing machine, in other words. She is hostile and cold to those who are around her, and never shows her emotions or any signs of pain. On the outside, she appears to be a put-together person who just hates everyone, but on the inside, she's a train wreck. Still grieving over her lost love, the amount of tears bottled up inside of her are rising too high and threatening to spill over. Em is as dedicated as possible to her work and the cause, not just because it provides a good distraction, but also because she truly believes that the Young-God family need to be stopped. Em is definitely not the type to anger or frustrate, and is not approachable by any means. However, if she is on your side, she's a good asset to getting whatever you need done, finished.

Hᴇʟᴇᴛʜ generally seems like a very fun, kind, and helpful person. But it's really just a disguise. She never really got over her parents' death, or the feeling that whenever a person dies it's her fault. She feels so much pressure to save the city, and doesn't want to. Heleth never really lets anyone know how awful she always feels. If anyone ever catches on to the fact that she feels bad about everything, she'll just laugh ad lie about it, saying that she's okay. Heleth is very protective of the New Americana. She's overcome with emotion every time one of them dies, even if she didn't know that person very well. She hates the Drive team with a passion, because they killed her parents, and continue to kill members of the New Americana. Heleth also hates the Young-God family, except for Valencia, since she betrayed her family to help the New Americana.

Hᴇʟᴇᴛʜ was born a member of the New Americana. Her parents, Stella and Simone, were both devoted members, and they hoped that Hurricane City would be freed in Heleth's time. As a little girl, she trained with the other rebels, played with the other children, and almost had a normal childhood in the New Americana quarters. She was almost never allowed into Hurricane city. When Heleth was 12 years old, her parents went out on their own, at night time. Heleth woke up while they were leaving headquarters, and asked them what they were doing. They hadn't been assigned any mission, and there hadn't been anything unusual going on lately. They just sent her back to bed saying they would be back soon. But they weren't. No one could find them the next day. Heleth felt horribly guilty, and it didn't help that she had to stay in Quarters while the other members searched for her parents. A week later, her parents turned up dead; supposedly killed by the Drive team. Everyone was shaken, and confused. Heleth was distant from everyone else for months, and hardly did any training. Most of the time, she just stayed in her room. When she finally started talking to people and training again, Heleth was a totally different person. She was extremely talkative, energetic, and outgoing.

Nᴏʙᴏᴅʏ really figured out what the change in Heleth was. But the change didn't go away. She continued to work extra hours, and train hard, and when she was 14 she finally started going on missions. Heleth wasn't really as happy as she seemed though. It was just a disguise for her misery. She felt like the world had crashed down on her. And now she had a goal: save Hurricane city. The city was the reason her parents were dead. Heleth was going to make sure no other children were orphaned because of the Drive team, or the Young-God family. At the age of 18, Heleth became the leader of the New Americana. She fit the role exactly, as though the job was made for her. She felt like it had been. But that didn't make her life any better. All Heleth wanted was to avenge her parents.

Tess Name: William Rowan Fortes

Age: 23

Appearance:
--->Face Claim: Kyle Ellison

Personality: Will is a very protective person by nature, always defending the weak and powerless. He is a man of little words, preferring to spend his time and energy doing other things he finds more important. But when he does choose to talk, he's snarky and annoying as all hell. He values family and loyalty above all else, so if you break his trust, you're out. Will gets upset over stupid things, which he considers to be his fatal flaw, but he takes it in stride and tries to make the best of it. He's a fighter, so if you manage to make him mad, watch out.

History:Will always had problems with authority. So when he became old enough to understand who the Young Gods were and what they were asking of their people to do, he got a little ticked off. His parents, who he called "mindless sheep", had raised him in the hopes that he would join the Drive team to follow in the footsteps of his older brother. Instead, he took his training and knowledge and ran away when he was 20, deciding that the rebels had the right idea about things. Now, all he cares about is bringing the royals down, no matter what the cost.

Family:
Gerard Fortes, Father
Maria Fortes, Mother
Adrian Fortes, Older Brother (anyone feel free to make him if you want)

The Full Bookshelf Reviews Name: Summer Foxe

Age: 17

Face Claim: Bonnie Wright

Personality: Though Summer considers herself rebellious enough to have joined the New Americana, she does have trouble sharing her opinions with others and can be quite shy around people she doesn't know. She is greatly angered by the injustice of the Young God family, amongst other things that affect the Badlands. She is a romantic and has tried to flirt with guys she liked before and failed miserably, which means she usually ends up liking her crushes from afar.

Birthday: May 25

Relationship: Open/single

History: Summer thinks that she was abandoned as a child, with no memory of her parents at all. This means that Summer has very strong survival skills, having fended for herself most of her life. At the age of fifteen, she wandered into Hurricane City and discovered the issues the Young God family were causing. This gave her a sense of helplessness, and, conveniently, she later discovered the New Americana, who took her in after she joined them. She began to love them like a family and their headquarters became her home. As one of the youngest members, she began to push herself to be a better member of the group obsessively, which she still does.
