The New Americana all make their own food.

Valencia sat against the wall of the kitchen, eating a sandwich she'd just finished making. It felt good to eat something plain, something she'd made herself, instead of the fancy food usually served at the palace. Looking around the dining room, Valencia thought of how much she liked the New Americana Quarters. She'd much rather live here than in the palace.

Valencia looked up at the person who had just entered. She might've this seen this woman before, but if she had, Valencia didn't remember it. Valencia smiled and said, "Good, thank you for asking." Wouldn't hurt to repay sarcasm with kindness. Valencia returned to her sandwich, taking another bite of it. Would've tasted better with cheese, she thought.

"Yup," Valencia said, nodding. "How's your day been?" Valencia's day had been the usual. Trying to find a good time to sneak out of the Castle so she could see the New Americana, breaking up one or two fights on the streets of Hurricane city. She wished she could do more. But there wasn't much she could do now, besides assist the Americana.

Valencia frowned sadly. "Yeah...I broke up a couple of street fights on the way here. Luckily they were all drunk, so they didn't recognize me. But it's still sad, the way the city is now." she said, pushing some hair back behind her ear.

"Not all the royals." Valencia said. She still loved her family, even though they could be...mean...sometimes. Especially her parents. They didn't do anything about the city, even though they should. But Valencia and her siblings, they couldn't do anything about the city.

Valencia nodded. "Yeah, the city is..." she shook her head sadly. "Horrible. Even when my parents are overthrown, it'll take a while to get the people back to normal. They're used to the way life is now, the city won't become perfectly safe the moment laws are established. But it will, at some point, be fine."

Valencia frowned, running over what she'd just said in her mind. "Did I say hope?" she asked.
