Megan (megan_morris) | 170 comments When a banned book came up as a topic, I didn't know what books were banned. 'Who bans books?' was my only thought. However, I have heard a bunch of things about it but don't know anyone who's actually read it! I was intrigued and decided A Clockwork Orange was going to be my banned book.

Have any of you read it? I'm just starting but I'll keep my progress posted.

Silvia Turcios | 304 comments I started to read it, but couldn't understand a word, so I changed my banned book :P

Brittany (booksandbottles) (gamerkiti) I've read it. And seen the movie. I love them both, although I can't really pinpoint why I do...they are a bit weird (for a lack of a better word). The language is hard to understand at first, but once you figure it out the book is a pretty easy read. I've heard the suggestion of making a sticky note of the commonly used verbiage just to keep track.

I nearly stopped too! I did this one audiobook and was like 'what the hell is this?!' when it started. So I looked up a masterlist of the language and after looking up a couple things I didn't need it and it became a lot easier to read.

Right?! It's one of those books where horrible things happen in it and the language is just strange but I've reached the end and I almost want to read it over again. It was right horror-show. ;)

I have finished this and feel like I shouldn't like it because of all of the violence but I actually kind of love it. I don't know what it is but I really liked this. The language is the tricky but if you can get past it by the end you feel like you should be saying it yourself.
