The Kiss of Deception discussion

Does anyone know where the author got the words for Vendan as a language from? She can't have possibly pulled them completely out of her imagination...

I also thought about this, I actually searched up some Vendan words from the book and got no results. She had to have some ways she came up with the language

Some of the words are similar to Italian. its a possibility.

I know that if you study linguistics, you can pretty much make up your own language. Ex: game of thrones - dothraki.
So, I believe that either she did it herself, or someone did it for her.
