Chris Keane | 47 comments I started reading The Giver this weekend! I can't put it down. I know I'm a little late on this one but thought it was worth posting! Has anyone here read it yet? If so, can you recommend any similar books?

Hi Chris! I have not read the Giver, but many of my friends have recommended it. I wouldn't know of any similar books yet, but I was about to go to the library and will make sure to pick up the Giver while I'm there :)

Jennifer Kirkwood (Levac) (genuinejenn) I just started book two in the Wild series. Wild Sky. I'm really enjoying this series so far.

Jennifer Kirkwood (Levac) (genuinejenn) Haha funny how books just show up out of no where sometimes. ;)
it's hard when a book is good but the writing isn't the best.

Yes it is. It is such a shame when a wonderful idea isn't written to the best of its potential.

Jen Garrett | 100 comments The Giver is a classic dystopian! If you are looking for other classic dystopian, I'm currently reading "1984" after reading "Animal Farm."

Mark Twain also wrote a short dystopian story, but I can't remember the title. Sorry.
