Hi this is John, nice to meet everyone. I recently self-published a crime thriller partly set in Thailand. I hope I did my research right!

Hi Sue, the book is called THE OPENER and you can get it from Amazon, Kobo, or Apple but here is the Amazon link for easy reference: http://www.amazon.com/Opener-John-Tri...
Hi JohnAre you based in Thailand. I know of only one other author and myself self-publishing here. It is pretty difficult to get an agent from here so, to date, I have taken the self-publishing route. My books are published under the name Jack Lourens but my recent one "King Naresuan the Great," is under my real name, Robert Smith. Based in Phitsanulok.
Hi Robert,I think independent publishing is the best way to go. The traditional published route is very hard to get into, even if you are in the US or the UK.
Hi JohnJust thought I would update you. I have written two further books and now intend to concentrate on my golf! The first "The Kings of Ayutthaya," is currently "garnering interest" with a Thai publisher and the second is a short (33,000 words) straight to Kindle "The Pastor, The Atheist and The Unbeliever," was released last week. WE will see......

Good luck, Jack! Keep us informed of your progress!
Hi John. My book "The Kings of Ayutthaya" is being published by Silkworm Books next year. I think that this is the best way to reach the Thais and Falang in Thailand as Kindle and the like have not really made any inroads here. I have a further Thai book "Luang Sorasak, Tiger King of Siam" under consideration as well.

It's true that the rest of the world has yet to adopt the Kindle in any significant numbers.
