I really like the audiobook version out of Helen Mort's "Division Street" https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1... put out by Penguin Books UK. Shameless plug here also for our production of "Poems of the Elder Edda"

Well if you are going to shamelessly plug, you ought to at least provide a link . . .
I couldn't find the audio book -- maybe because I'm in the US and not the UK?

The Division Street track I admit I can't seem to find. I got it off the Penguin UK audiobook poetry tracklist on SoundCloud which is here:

Maybe it's not out yet.
Not poetry, but about poetry - Rainer Maria Rilke's "letters to a young Poet" narrated by Dan Stevens and Max Deacon. Inspirational!http://www.audible.com/pd/Classics/Le...
Of Angels and Few Lies, Of Everything under Blue SkiesI'd love to find some reviewers for this first poetry narration. Of Angels and Few Lies, by Raminder Bajwa. Contact me via www.TheCaptainsVoice.com for information!
Pamela, do you have a clip for that on SoundCloud? I'll put it in my SoundCloud audiobook playlist if you have one. Also how did you get the audible player widget on the goodreads product page? I'm not sure how to do this as a librarian.
https://soundcloud.com/the-captains-v...And, I'm a cyber-dinosaur, Bruce...I don't even know what the audible player widget is!!! :-) Much less how I got it on there. This is Bajwa's first book of poetry and the first time I've been asked to narrate poetry, so I'd truly appreciate an honest review.

I'm old enough to have cassette recordings of Poets in Person: A Listener's Guide, but I really don't have anywhere to listen to cassettes any more. I have T.S. Eliot and W.B. Yeats on cassette somewhere too.
My CDs have slam poetry, Henry Rollins,Charles Bukowski and the Beats. John Giorno did a fantastic job of compiling all kinds of audio recordings of poets.
I suppose you could also count audio recordings of William Shakespeare's plays as poetry recordings as well.
I've been a little dismayed at the lack of poetry books and readings on Audible, but maybe even more for the lack of trying by the poets to make the work accessible. I love the sounds of words being spoken, but I have this weird quirk of also liking to understand what the poet is talking about.
So there are some of my favorites (not all of course), but I would love to hear who you love to listen to in the poetic vein.
