To tell you the truth, one thing I like about Whispersync is that I can switch to the eBook for the "unlikeable person" parts. I hate hearing their "voices," so I sometimes skim over their parts quickly. Or, when listening on audio only, I've been known to speed up their parts to 1.5X or faster. Ugh. This could explain why I'm not into this new trend of Psychological Suspense. LOL! I do read/listen, but only when I'm in the just the right mood.

What do you think? Can you think of examples of this? I remember a traumatic experience reading that classic unreliable narrator in The Murder of Roger Ackroyd. I couldn't read a book in the first person for years afterwards! Also, when you go to unlikable characters, may I suggest The Lying Tongue by Andrew Wilson?
