What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I once had a book in the mid 1990s, in Australia, that was a High Fantasy / Swords And Sorcery book featuring humans and dragons. The cover had purple and blue dragons in a meadow relaxing, with mostly women I believe.

It was a paperback, maybe a stand alone and not a series. It was probably not by Anne McCaffery or the 'other faves' of dragon writers.

I think it was written by a female author, though!

Tamora Pierce's The Realms of the Gods comes to mind.

Sorry, not Patricia Wrede. It was an adult book, not a YA or pre-teen novel.

The cover doesn't sound like any of Shirley Rousseau Murphy's Dragon books (that I can remember), but she had a few, so...

One of them, Nightpool, had a fairly tranquil cover, but entirely the wrong color scheme and with a boy. Well, okay, so the title is purple.
