The park in the city of Gotham. This is a fun place for people of all ages.

Jasper was walking through the park when he noticed a girl all alone in the park. She seemed upset about something.
Xela knew she wasn't particularly talented at most things, but she didn't realize she was so terrible at opening bags of candy. She had spilled her entire bag of sour candy except for two pieces. Yes, she was angry, but she was having a bad day anyway. She plopped onto the grass, deciding this wasn't defeat but a break from things.
Jasper walked over to Xela. "Hey. Are you okay?" He asked Xela, not knowing what to say at first. Jasper usually wasn't one for talking to others.
"Do I look okay? Does my candy look okay?" Xela replied bitterly. She sighed and hugged her knees to her chest. "I'm fine really." She looked up at him, wondering why he came to talk to her. She looked like she was having a mental breakdown over candy, and people generally avoided her on a good day.
"Good observation," Xels remarked sarcastically. "And I'm not crying. I'm just taking a break from life..." She frowned at him, wondering why she was still talking to him, especially about herself.
"Nope," Xela answered, pausing for a moment. "If that was an attempt to hit on me I'm going to hit you." She added, for good measure. She was never good at friends, or people. She looked around at the scattered candy she was sitting in unhappily. "If it wasn't, I apologize, I'm upset, if you didn't already notice." She pushed her hair out of her face, it wasn't tied back in a red braid like usual.
"I'm just curious. I don't hit on girls, well not when they've had a bad day. I've mostly had bad days myself"
"That's nice... Not the bad days part. I'm sorry about that, and I'm sure I can relate at least a little." Xela winced slightly at how awkward she was being. He was also lucky she felt particularly feminine today, or she'd have lectured him on gender.
"If I run into him he'll get what he deserves," Xels answered. "I'm Xela, by the way." She held her hand out to shake despite the fact that she was sitting on the grass and he was standing.
"That's a nice name," Xela commented, playing with a blade of grass, while not looking away from him.
Xela smirked at him. "You're really great at conversation. You know that?" She told him sarcastically.
She groaned and laid down on her back in the grass. She gazed up at the clouds, and because she was growing bored she changed the shape of some of them, or at least made them seem to change shape. She'd been doing that since she was really little. "So, what grade are you in? Do you like school?" she asked, simply for the sake of the conversation.
"I'm a junior," Xels told him. "I like things like cross country, but most of school sucks. Learning things is cool, as long as the teacher isn't terrible, but I dunno I don't have a lot of friends."
"Really? Well, prepare for nostalgia, cause I'm calling you Jasp," Xela told him, grinning and then taking his hand. She didn't hold it in a romantic way at all, but more like she was playing with it. She wasn't too keen on personal space, or when you become close enough friends for stuff like this.
