Isn't Rick Riordan wonderful?! This is the 6th book of his I'll be reading, but the 11th that I've purchased. Lol.
I am just starting the book now! I am excited to see what the fuss is about, since this is my first of Riordan's books :)
EEEEEEEK! I have only read two chapters because I am meant to be studying, but I am enjoying Magnus as a narrator! He is sassy and fabulous. I will let you know how I like the story when I get further in :)
Have you started reading Miranda?!

I don't believe I've gotten there yet. I prefer to see them as I go. I stopped on 285 so y'all could catch up. (:
Okay are we talking about the same book? Because I just went back and looked at the titles of the chapters that I've read.

I am ~100 pages in and I'm liking it so far. Magnus is really funny and everything, but he almost makes too many jokes, haha!

And keep in mind it's intended for people aged 10 to 14.

I have finished! I loved it! I also learned that any time Loki has an affair with a giantess, bad things happen. Yikes. That bit was learned from the Glossary rather than the book itself. Lol.
I still cannot seem to get into it :(! It just is not hooking me, waaah. I am trying to persevere though. I'm sure it will get better as it goes on.
Aw. This makes me sad. But it's okay. But the ending has a good setup for the next book. I've heard a lot of people say that this one has a ton of world building and not enough of the usual antics.

I was the exact same Miranda. I read about 100 pages in no time but after that I really struggled.
Ah, well I hope y'all enjoy the ending. Good endings make a book worth it. The epilogue had me like, "What?! Oh damn." Mainly because it changed my opinion on a couple of characters.
