How Europe Underdeveloped Africa discussion

One of the things I found very interesting in Rodney’s argument was his explanation of the lack of political and economic interactions among the African States. And his good example was two west African cities: Accra (Ghana) and Abidjan (Ivory Coast) where according to the colonial structure, making a telephone call from Accra to the neighbouring city of Abidjan requested that the telephone call had to first be directed to Paris, from Paris to London and then to Abidjan.

True... and sometimes flying from one to the bordering country required the same by way of Europe connection.
