SerialReader I'm talking about the "After" series. Book One was cool, read that in just one day.
Book two has been cool for a while than got me like "here again with this sh#t, Tess leaves Hardin or Hardin leaves Tess"... so I'm curious, do you ever feel the same way about a series?

Ashley I haven't read this particular series but I definitely started to feel this way about the Mortal Instruments series. I loved the books but there were times when the characters just kept their love lives flipping back and forth. Jace loves Clary but Clary loves Simon then Clary loves Jace and Jace decides he loves someone else and on and on.

SerialReader Lol..yeah, that's exactly what's happening in After :) I think it's because we're so used to rush into things that we can't enjoy long series. :) thanks for your comment, though!

m. I got annoyed, but at the same time I really wanted to know what would happen next and how they'd get their HEA. But yeah, I got annoyd but kept reading.

SerialReader That's why I'm reading book #3.. I have to know what's next, lol :)

m. Hahahah! Great! Hope you'll like the rest more!

Alicia Miller Hmmm this book series was good don't get me wrong, however I found myself reading it and after book one I was like how much more can happen to these people??? It was like the bad stuff never ended!!!!

message 8: by m. (new) - rated it 4 stars

m. Yeah, at the end I felt like it was just creating trouble to create trouble. It was repetitive, and the HEA wasn't good enough for all the trouble they had went through BUT I can't help but feel attached to them after nearly 2500 pages. They are dear to my heart still.

Alicia Miller I know me too! even though I was like what else can happen I still feel like they were great and I want to finish out the series.

SerialReader Are they really going to make a movie out of it?

message 12: by m. (new) - rated it 4 stars

m. I'm not sure. I know someone bought the rights, but I have no idea if it's actually going to happen. I wouldn't make movies though, maybe more a tv show, there's too much content for a movie.

message 13: by SerialReader (new) - added it

SerialReader Yeah, maybe not a movie but a tv show would be cool :)

message 14: by m. (new) - rated it 4 stars

m. Yeah! I'd watch it for sure!

Paula Easton A book annoys me when phrases such as "I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding" pop up. This one makes many appearances in this series. I hate that line!!!

Laraamorann i loved after but is true that sometimes is boring when you read always the same but i thought that this is the real life always argue
don´t hate me :)

Felicia I just finished don't get me wrong I enjoyed the series however I think that they went through too much it was dragged out a bit much to have an ending like this and by the time I got done with the series all five books I was like this and they have to be better this ending could have been a lot better and after a while it was just like dragging the Badness like she left it for years without talking to him two years without I'm sorry like two years without seeing him but once in awhile I was so drained by the end of the series that even though I I I like the book because I had to know the end of it but I will say this is a bit too much of a drag I mean you want to feel those emotions when reading a book series but I felt that the going back and forth the bickering and and then I love you I love you now she's too broken I didn't I didn't get it the whole situation there and why the writer even though I love the way she wrote the the stories but the ending if only it was focused more on all the bad things and not really gave us and she did give us a Everly you don't ever after but to be honest by the time I was done with the book I was I'm so tired of it that I'm like I don't know if it was worse going through all those emotional rollercoaster to have an ending like that and then I hate it I hate it Tessa cuz after all this crap now it's been four years to years one year and I don't know if he loves me or not or I don't know if I want to be with him it was a bit too much I would write this as a maybe a b i a b minus and book series having said that I don't regret spending the time that I did reading the whole series and I fell in love with the characters but at the same time I was at I don't think it was worth all that dragon

✏️Bellas I felt the same thing with the series... I was raving about it after book 1. I was addicted n ordered all books . Half way through book 2 I was like "ah not this again". It continued into book 3 and they still not got there act together... OKAY I get it you can't help who you love, but if it's not working out, work out at trying to move on... They cudnt be without each other yet made every mistake that wud keep them apart. I'm not doubting Anna Todd's talent. But I don't know why she put them through car crash after car crash of agony.... There was 1 moment of happiness or time together but before the next morning there was an argument or a disceit.... Not even 24 hours after they talk n sort things over... The whole rigmarole of apologies and promises..... TO FALL OUT AGAIN. I fell in love with the characters, I just want them to be happy. I was routing for them so much so I kept reading..... I was disappointed with the ending and it left me feeling dissatisfied... The hole books should have been reigned in turn some of the real unpleasant parts into more happy parts, and recalling ended....
SPOILER ****
Tessa and Hardins wedding, not Landon's n sophias with the 2nd half last book all about there future. Not only the EPILOGUE...!!

Eva King My pet hate is that Hardin is meant to be English, like his mum. But he speaks like an American. He shouldn't be saying mall, cookies, scotch... it just isn't realistic.

Morgan Grasmick I literally am starting to HATE this series... First book got me but now im 30% done with the second book and I LOOATHE the main characters. I find them not relatable and just stupid children... Its so HARD to read... im skimming now

message 22: by Phebe (new) - rated it 1 star

Phebe Britt Bruce Sorry but starting with the book I was already annoyed. Especially with Tessa, she is so judgmental and uses really old and childish stereotypes. For example "hardin is a guy with tattoos and piercings, why does he read books". I absolutely hate that. And Hardin is a troubled boy that needs help. They are children and immature. Either the one is leaving the other. Their main problem is communication. And both are so stubborn. I honestly think Tessa was better off with Noah the cardigan lover. And hardin was better off with Molly the pink haired dragon.
