It seems to me that the girl you like's friend likes you. If she was questioning you like that about prom, then she was most likely trying to see if you were willing to go with her or dance with her. But i could be wrong. If I had the same situation then I'd go ask them if they like me or not. But i'm not you. i'm a very outspoken person and i don't know if you are.
