Many passages and quotations have stuck with me throughout reading 'The UnAmericans' by Molly Antopol.

One of my favorites is, "And as I continued to talk, I wondered if any of what I was saying would begin to feel like the truth. It didn't yet, but I was just getting started."

What are some of your favorite quotations from 'The UnAmericans' so far?

I love how this quote explores storytelling. While it refers to one specific character lying about his past to his daughter, I think the way it confronts why/ how we create and pass on personal narratives can be applied to all of the stories in the collection.
