Another stellar chapter ending. What exactly was it that Shaun was doing as he disappeared over the horizon? Waving to the waves, tripping and falling as he trip't along, strangely bidding adieu adieu to whom to whom? I'm going to reread the closing pages for further investigation (plus I am McLhughless at the moment, so I'm more in the dark than usual...)
