Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, #1) by Marissa Meyer Scarlet (The Lunar Chronicles, #2) by Marissa Meyer Cress (The Lunar Chronicles, #3) by Marissa Meyer Winter (The Lunar Chronicles, #4) by Marissa Meyer

The Lunar Chronicles, written by Marissa Meyer, is a series revolving around Linh Cinder, a cyborg who works for her stepmother Adri. Her unique makeup, combined with her adoptive father's inventions in cybernetics, allowed her to become the best mechanic in New Beijing at the tender age of sixteen. Her talents became so widely known that one day the crown prince, Prince Kai, brings his android, Nainsi, for her to fix, and while he tries to make light of the subject, it's apparent that it's a very serious matter.

The Lunar Chronicles are all loosely based off classic fairy tales, such as Cinderella, Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, and Snow White.

Earthens are human. They have no powers, whatsoever. They live on Earth and normally fear the Lunar. They are affected by Letumosis, A.K.A the Plague.

Lunars are the genetically mutated humans that live on the moon, known as Luna, that can manipulate the bioelectricity of humans, called "glamour" to make them do whatever they want. They can also make illusions, for example Queen Levana making people see her with no imperfections. However, the drawback is that glamour does not work on mirrors and androids. Earthens are often afraid of Lunars and have a bad reputation. In special cases, a mutation of the gene causes some Lunars to be born without it; these people are commonly called "shells".

รђєllร
Shells are Lunars who are born without the ability to manipulate bioelectricity. They are also immune to bioelectricity manipulation. Queen Levana is trying to kill them, for they are immune to her "glamour".

Cyborgs are people whose bodies contains mechanical or electrical devices and whose abilities are greater than the abilities of normal humans. Most people in the Earthen Union disregard cyborgs and see them as inferior compared to humans. Most believe that cyborgs are similar to androids: they don't have feelings and don't know what love is. But, unlike androids, they can be manipulated by bioelectricity (Unless a Shell), but, if Lunar, can also use the manipulation.

คภ๔г๏เ๔ร
Androids are robots with human appearances that serve humans and Lunars for different things. They are not affected by bioelectricity manipulation, therefore some Lunars, such as Queen Levana, do not like them.

Glamour- The power Lunars (Except Shells) have which manipulates the bioelectricity of humans, controlling their actions and thoughts.

Univs- Univs are the currency of the Earthen Union. A Univ's value compared to the U.S. dollar is unknown.

Letumosis- Letumosis is a disease in The Lunar Chronicles. It has killed many Earthens, but no Lunars, as they are immune to it. Letumosis is also called the Blue Fever or the Plague, and the only known cure requires supplies from Luna. The symptoms of the Plague are round bruise like spots. Lunar shells carried it to Earth when they tried to escape Luna, and although it didn't affect them, it spread to "Earthens". There are four stages.

Identity chips- Earthens have idenity chips implanted in there wrist. These chips able them to be tracked, so many runaways cut them out. Deceased's chips are removed by med-droids.

Med-droids- Med-droids take care of the sick or infected, as well as the injured.
