[Background] Deka was born into a comparitavely poor family in the African Union. They had barely enough to get by, but somehow they managed. When she was eight years old, a fire burned down her village and the surrounding forest, leaving her as the only survivor, missing an arm and with scars across her whole body. She ran into a nearby city over three days. When she arrived injured and half-starved, she lied to the hospital, saying that she had been in a plane with her wealthy father when it had crashed. After she got her arm replaced and her wounds treated, and a bit of food, she ran away once more. Deka stowed away on a boat, that took her to the Eastern Commonwealth. There, she was a beggar ntil she got her first job at twelve. Since than, she's been a maid.
