Noah Taber (noah808) | 1 comments Hello Everyone,

I'm a first time author here. My short story started as a journal entry that I was going to share with my fiance. I started writing and writing and it became more than a journal entry, but less than a full book.

I was told about goodreads earlier this week. This seems like a great community so far.

So, I posted my short story about 1.5 months ago, and no one is interested in it. I'm willing to send you the book for free if you'll post a review on amazon. I would appreciate 4 or 5 star reviews, but I'd rather you just be honest. I'm not sure what the best way is to send you the book other than email. If there's another way, please let me know.

https://www.goodreads.com/story/show/...

I am able to provide the book as a pdf, epub or mobi; whichever you prefer.

Thanks!

Ramos Talaya (ramostalaya) | 2 comments Hi everyone!

Thank you for starting this group. Excellent idea!
My name is Ramos, I am a Christian writer/author.
I just released my book entitled: SOUL REVIVAL A: 40 Days' Journey to the Feet of CHRIST.

The book is rooted firmly in Scripture. Based on the greatest sermon ever preached by Christ (found in Matthew chapters 5-7) and is wisely and intricately patterned into a 40 day life journey. The author expounds on the matchless teachings of Christ, making Christ's teachings clear and easy for the reader to comprehend.

Please feel free to contact me for a copy of my book for review/interview, my email: ramostalaya@gmail.com

Book: Whose Apple is it, Anyway! Empowering Purpose to Achieve Your God-Ordained Destiny

I am Linda F. Williams. I am releasing my first book in March. I am interested in readers who appreciate Christian nonfiction to review a copy of the book before it is released.

I have one review so far, but it is from some of non-Christian faith. Based on that review it appears that someone with knowledge of Christianity should review it.

If you are interested in providing a review, please let me know at lfwilliams@whoseapple.org See the book trailer at: WhoseApple.org

Thanks so much!

Carrie Groneman (wwwamothersshadowcom) Hi everyone!

I am a first time visitor here and so glad to be here. I am starting a giveaway of my novel "A Mother's Shadow" on 12/7/15 here on GoodReads.

The setting is early 1800's in Ohio territory, USA. My fictional characters come to know God as they face challenges and trials with faith and courage.

Each chapter has a section, a musing you could call it, urges readers to live a better life and to leave a noble legacy for generations to come.

It's historical fiction, self-help, Christian oriented and I hope readers enjoy it!
Carrie

message 37: by Paul (new)

Paul West (pauwwest) | 6 comments I love historical/religious novels. Ohio Territory is where some of my ancestors lived.

message 38: by Carrie (new)

Carrie Groneman (wwwamothersshadowcom) Mine too! I have never visited (meaning TONS of research!!!), but when trying to figure out where to have the setting, I decided to put them there. I have the ebook on Amazon on sale and giveaways going on on my blog, and here on GoodReads starting next week IF you're interested, but no pressure of course, and I HOPE I'm ok in even saying that.

It's very unique in it's format. I have a musing after each chapter. For example I have my main characters traveling with cousins to new territory there in Ohio who do not think ethics or morals are important (I don't want to give it away, heehee).

In the musing I equate the cousins behavior to a trapeze artist who falls into the net and the effects of his choice on not only him, but his family and even posterity.

I'm working on the sequel now.

message 39: by Paul (new)

Paul West (pauwwest) | 6 comments I like it. Your format sounds a lot like John Steinbeck's "Grapes of Wrath," only his musings are before the chapters.

message 40: by Carrie (new)

Carrie Groneman (wwwamothersshadowcom) Oh wow, then maybe I have a teeny weeny chance, heehee. I want to get more involvement, maybe a very active group going. Any ideas of how to do that? I know this genre is not as popular as some others, but we do have a great purpose to contribute.

message 41: by Paul (new)

Paul West (pauwwest) | 6 comments I'm struggling with my novel's genre too. It's aimed at young adults but has crossover potential to people who were teens during the mid 1960s.

I don't have any good ideas of where to find a "very active group." I assume you're talking about a critique group??? I used to be the moderator of a group for several years, but it got too difficult to keep up and when I quit, the group tried to keep going with a new moderator, but it didn't last, and unfortunately is no more.

Maybe try some of the writer's forums on line.

Good luck,
Paul

Carrie Johnson | 2 comments Hi, Everyone! My name is Carrie Rachelle Johnson and I love Jesus so much that words can't express it. I try to describe that love in my book series The Glory Chronicles. I am a newly published author of Journey to Glory. I am totally amazed at how God's timing has proven to be so perfect! He is so faithful and true. Over the past few months He has shown me Psalm 37:4 in my life. It says Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. I have always wanted God to use my writing to reach people for Him and now He is!
