Willowleaf walked to the moonpool with the medicine cat by his side. They touched noses.

Willowleaf looked around. Nine cats surrounded him. He knew most of them, others were faintly familiar.

One by one, all the cats approached Willowleaf and gave him one life. Along with these lives they gave him one virtue. The virtues were bravery, kindness, patience, gratitude, intelligence, curiosity, quickness, simplicity and love. The last cat whom approached him was his mentor. He gave him his leadership name; Willowstar. They touched noses and then Willowstar woke up.

Willowstar woke up and rose to his paws. He dipped his head to Echowhisker and headed back to camp.
