I finished the Divergent series last night and am having so much trouble processing the ending! I definitely liked Allegiant more than I liked Insurgent but I'm having a real love/hate relationship with the ending. Anyone else?

I was shocked, then I realised over time it really was an ending which was true to the books and particularly to the characters - I also think it was very brave of the author to take that step -(don't want to give anything away) I still feel sad though!

I know exactly what you mean, I hate spoilers! I had a very mixed reaction to Allegiant, but overall I loved the series. I think it was definitely a brave move by the author and I respect that she told the story she had to tell :)
Haha I really do! I was already having trouble reading ti because everyone seems to be upset with the ending, but the student just bluntly said the ending!
I just finished Allegiant. I really like the story idea behind the Divergent series, but I think the word choices used are really simple. I found it difficult to stay interested in the book. I kept reading because I wanted to see how the story ended and how Tris died. Don't mean that to be a spoiler, but I think everybody knows that she dies in the book. I just feel that lots of adults might be interested in the actually story, but the vocabulary level is insulting. Veronica Roth did a disservice to her teenage readers and to YA adult readers when she chose to write down to them. I didn't abandon the book, but I did find myself wishing that it would just finish.
