Angel sits in the Starbucks and watches the streets outside. It is quiet right now. There has been no movement from the day walkers as of yet nor has any of the the others seem to be still hanging around. He started to wonder if there were any other uninfected people in this f**k hole of a city.He lit a cigarette and took a quick drag.Another long boring day it looked like.
Sia walked in after a violent night, tired and hot. Her arm was bleeding after being hit by a zombie with an hammer. She only thanked the Lord she wasn't wasn't infected. As she walked into the cafe and looked around, not seeing Angel at first.
He saw her before she saw him.The hairs on the back of his neck stood up.She didn't move like a day walker, plus she was bleeding freely which they more like oozed. He watched her from behind a wall, not quite sure if he should announce himself yet.He backed up making a light fixture fall over."Oh F**k"he cursed quietly. He saw her jump and pull out a gun.
She held it up at him, analysing every part of him, "You're alive." she said, her English accent popping through, "You're not an undead." She put the gun back in her belt and grabbed a mug and began working the coffee machine, "I'm sorry about pointing my gun at you."
"Sorry about scaring you.You are obviously alive as well. Here let me help you with that."He walked over and kicked the machine and it started working."I haven't seen you around here.Where you been hiding from the walkers?"Angel looked at her arm and started searching for some rags to bind it with.Never seemed to be anything around when you needed it.
"I've just traveled from outside the city." she said, pouring some coffee with one hand, "I went to find my grandparents but... they were gone." she tucked a hair behind her ears, "I soughted it out though. Anyway," he held out a hand, "I'm Sia. Sia May."
He took her hand and shook it."Name's Angel. My family is gone too.You look a little young to be out here unprotected 'cept for that gun.Didn't get bit did ya?"Angel found a bottle of alcohol under the counter and proceeded to pour it on her wound without asking first.
((that is all I can do until Friday..got a good start though...need to take meds and go to bed now ..see you Friday.))
((that's alright. see you then))
She winced and jolted as he poured the alcohol, "That an interesting name. And I'm seventeen. Perfectly fine at caring for myself thank you very much."

((you will have to create your own character to Roleplay. Sorry if its confusing. If you make one asap I cannot approve it quickly))
((not unless your charrie joins))
Looked at Sia as he dabbed her arm with a napkin."My mother like a tv show named "Angel" so she named me after it.And you got an attitude. I like that. Now this is going to hurt a bit." Angel took her arm and pushed the bones back in. He looked for something to splint it with.He grabbed some stirrers, tied them together with some tape he found under the counter, laid them on either side of her arm and then wrapped a clean napkin over them, fastening it with more tape."That will hold until I can find something better. What did you get hit with anyway ? a sledge hammer?"
"A normal hammer." she replied, "The zombies are strong. And I'm more of a Buffy girl.
Angel smirked."If I remember correctly Angel was a spin off of Buffy.Anyway how many zombies were there? Last count I saw around here was about 50. Number has been dwindling.Either they are dying off or moving on.Cannot tell which. You are actually the first live person I have seen in months. Last one I saw, well let's just say the zombies had a good meal."Angel lit another cigarette and looked out the window.
Sia coughed and snatched the cigarette from him and threw it on the floor, crushing her foot on it, "Could you not? I have astma. Anyway, I found an entrance to the subway and it was full of them. Hundreds."
He glared at Sia as cigarettes were hard to come by nowadays."Alright but only when we are inside. So that is where they are going .Underground.Have you seen any live people, besides me of course?"Angel looked back out the window and noticed some movement coming their way. It was two day walkers and they were approaching faster than usual.
Sia looked out the window at them too, "I seen a few but they never last long." she replied and reloaded the bullets, "They are heading this way."
Angel nodded and made sure he was armed as well."Get behind the counter, that looks to be our best defense right now. They don't seem to have seen us,but my experience they can smell us live ones.Your blood trail probably attracted them.He pointed to the red droplets on the floor. He reached behind the counter for some bleach and poured the whole bottle on the floor."I know it won't help your asthma but it will hide our scent at least until they move on.Here use this to breath through."He handed her a piece of cloth.
She placed it to her nose and ducked behind the counter, ready for the zombies.
The male zombie shambled in first.Angel watched as he sniffed the air.He tried to hold back his disgust when the zombie's arm fell off and hit the floor with a slopping sound. The female came in but stayed by the door. The male shuffled by the counter slowly and stopped right in front of where Angel and Sia were crouching behind. He turned, picking up a chair and brought it down hard on the counter, shattering it into a hundred pieces.Angel stayed put and motioned for Sia to do so as well. The female had moved by now and was coming around the corner of the far end of the counter right at them.Angel did not see her as he was watching the male. She was getting closer.
Sia watched as the female wandered over to her. As she appeared, Sia jumped out and onto the remaining counter where she kicked the female round the head and fired a single shot into her head before jumping into the male and breaking his neck from behind. She jumped down and got out her inhaler, taking a breath, "Damn walkers."
Angel jumped up and cut the male's head off just to make sure."Can say one thing for you, you're quick. At least we didn't attract anymore.I live next door.We can get new ammo and provisions there.Plus I can see if I can fix your arm better. That is if you trust me."Angel kicked the walker on the floor and a lighter fell out of his pocket. He resisted the urge to pick it up as it might be contaminated. He leaned against the counter wanting a cig so bad but he would wait out of respect for Sia.
Sia picked up the lighter herself and passed it to him. She didn't care much about contamination anyway, she had nothing to live for apart from the joy of killing zombies, "Sure. Whatever. You can fix my arm."
Angel looked at the lighter then stuck it in his pocket. He stepped over the walker, careful not to slip in the ooze coming from his neck. "Follow me."He led her out to the fire escape between the two buildings."I don't use the front door. I have learned zombies can't climb very well." Angel scrambled up the fire escape like a monkey and shimmied inside a window on the 2nd floor.Sticking his head back out he motioned for Sia to come on up.
Sia jumped up and climbed quickly. Before the infection outbreak she had been in a young military training programme. She hoisted up through the window and rubbed her hands after wards, "Nice place." she said, nodding a few times as she let her eyes wander round, "Any family? Before or after the outbreak?"
Angel winced a bit at the word 'family'. He moved some newspapers and sat down. "Before yes, after all dead. That is why I am here .I want to clean out as many of these mother f**kers as I can before they get me."He pulled a box from under the table and sifted through it."I knew I had some stuff in here that was better than what we found in the coffee place."He pulled out adhesive tape, ointment, some gauze,an ace bandage, and two long pieces of aluminum."Let me see that arm again."
She brought it forwards and let him look at it, looking round, "Don't worry about it. I have no one either. I did have a brother, he was two. If anyone is alive it is him because he was round our Godmothers house and when I went there it was empty like they had packed up and left. I tried finding him though but nothing."
Angel set to work changing the dressing as he listened to Sia.After fastening the new splints with the ace bandage and tape,he sat back down."There's some water in the fridge if your thirsty.I think I have a couple backpacks around here we can load up with supplies."He walked into the kitchen and started getting things like peanut butter crackers, some toaster pastries,a few fruit cups, and an assortment of granola bars.He dumped them on the table, while he searched for the packs."You will find ammo in that hall closet over there.Take all you think we will need."Finding the packs,Angel started putting the food inside the front pockets.
Sia only got a new set of bullets and then walked back inside the main room and picked up an granola and ate it
Angel eyed Sia with a quizzical look."You don't seem to be in any hurry to get back out to the fight."He dropped the pack he was working on back on the table.Falling back onto the couch,he slung his feet onto the tabletop, pondering what to do next. This girl was a paradox. She wanted to kill zombies, but was in no rush to do it.He couldn't get his head around it.He switched on some music. That always seemed to help him clear his head."So any plans or are we just going to chill here?"he laid it out for her as he wasn't exactly sure what her agenda was.
She finished the bar, "I dunno. I'll probebly head out soon and scout for a place to stay. Maybe get another coffee from the place down stairs." Sia loaded her gun and retied her boots tighter, "I don't have long to find somewhere before its dark anyway so I should go now."
Angel pondered this."Listen the bed in my room is clean and your welcome to it. I can camp out here on the sofa . I usually sleep here anyway.I would rather you do that then risk running into any walkers alone.Besides you got that lame wing remember. And don't worry,I won't try nothing. Your too young anyway. You are what we used to call jail bait."He laid back on the couch and covered his face with a newspaper.
She raised an eyebrow, "Like you would survive that."
"Don't push it little lady. You are feisty I grant you that, but I could put you down in seconds flat if I had too.Now either take my offer or take your chances ..your choice."Angel went back to trying to rest under the newspaper. He heard her moving around,he knew if she tried to prove she was smarter and quicker than him he would have to prove her wrong. He hoped it wouldn't come to that.
She cracked her knuckles, "Come in then Angel."
He huffed behind the paper. "Go to sleep.I have better things to do than take dares from little girls. We got a long day tomorrow so get some rest, now will ya."Teenagers.He could never understand the need to prove how tough they were. His brothers had been like that.Strange he never had been.Maybe if he had he would be where they are right now. He tossed the paper aside and got up,striding over to the fridge. He pulled out some water and sat back down.He started sketching out a map of the city and where he had last seen the walkers.
Sia sighed and put her bag on, "You ruin the fun. See you around."
"Seriously? You wanted to fight me?"Angel was across the floor with a knife at Sia's throat faster than you could say boo.His leg was locked around hers in such a way she couldn't use it to trip him up or flip him over her shoulder either."Now does that prove anything to you."He growled in her ear.Taking the knife away he headbutted her just because he could then went and sat down again.
She growled and jumped over, putting his head in an unbreakable headlock, then flipping him over the sofa edge.
'Oh geez' he thought,'Here we go'. He landed on his knees so he quickly stood up and put pressure on her bad arm, loosening the headlock, flipping her over his head and onto the sofa where he pinned her down with a knee to the back and her arms pulled back."Had enough princess."
She gave a mischievous smile before kneeing him in between his legs and pushing him over, pinning him down herself, "Had enough yet sweetie?" she teased.
Angel growled and swung his head back, head butting her.He flipped her over his shoulders, eventually pinning her down with his whole body, holding her arms above her head."Let's call it even, shall we." He got off and headed over to the window, wiping his mouth, just staring outside.
Sia growled and cracked her neck, "No fair! I have an injured arm!" she called but still sat on the couch, putting her feet up and picking up a book on the table. SHe hadn't been in someone house for a long time and had forgotten how to be polite.
Angel glared out the window."I do believe you were the one who started it.Are you hungry?"Walking over to the kitchen area,he started making himself a sandwich, thought about it then made her one as well.He brought them both over and set hers on the table with some chips and a drink. He plopped in the chair by the sofa and started eating, looking at her as she read.It reminded him of when his brother used to do the same thing. He chuckled to himself as he heard his mother's voice in his head telling his brother to get his feet off the couch.Popping open his soda,he started looking at his plans again.
She drank the sida and ate the food, not saying anything until she was done, "What plans are they?"
Angel looked up from the papers he had in front of him."This is a layout of the city and where I last saw any walkers, daytime or otherwise. The red x's mark where the heaviest concentration of walkers are according to my research. I am adding the subway tunnels, because according to you they were teeming with walkers."He pointed to the various locations as he spoke."The green areas seem to be free of any walkers at the moment. Why,I have no earthly idea ,with the exception that they are close to water."He scribbled some more x's and sat back as she perused the paper.
