Makoto sighed as he walked through the streets, remembering better days when it wasn't just piled up cars and the smell of death. He took out the revolver he carried and looked around, as usual he was trying to be very aware of his surroundings.
Julie jumped up onto the dumpster and looked inside, trying to see if there was any food. Ever since the zombies had broken into her place, leaving her the only survivor, she had nothing. No food. No clean clothes. Not even shoes.
Makoto sighed and shrunk back further hearing the clanking in a dumpster, he slowly took out his pistol and watched the green canister. Makoto slowly approached it, and pulled the hammer back before finally speaking, "Hello?" He asked in a low gravely voice.
((Sorry if I don't respond, I'm at school and all))
((no worries))
Julie jumped up, armed with only a broken baseball bat. She looked over, tripping and landing in a like at the bottom, "Don't shoot! Don't shoot!" she shouted, "I'm human! I'm alive! Not a zombie, I promise!"

"Why are you in the dumpster?" He asked keeping the gun trained on her as he glanced around still remaining cautious as he heard another clang from behind, he tensed up but kept his sight on her.
"I-I-I was looking for food." she stutters. She rubbed her barefeet and stood up slowly, "Please put the gun down... please. I have nothing you can take." she begged, tears pouring down her cheeks.
"It's not safe out here." He said helping her out of the dumpster. "Please follow me." He said looking around still tense. "Your name?"
"Julie." she replied, "Julie Mortez."
"Julia." He said nodding as he started walking. "Do you have a weapon?" He asked looking back at the ragged girl.
((Sorry if I don't respond anymore I have family over))
She shook her head, "Nothing."
((it's okay. I had to go to bed))

"Stay behind me then." He told her as he walked down the road, lowering his guard a little. "How old are you?"
"Nineteen. " she replied, "Yoi?"
"Twenty-six." He said. "You're out here loving fir food right?"
"Do you have any place to live?" He said asked looking up at the muddled grey sky with a small sigh.
She looked up too sadly, "No. I don't. I lived woth a few others by the coast but we were attacked. I was the only one who made it out."
"That's everyone's story isn't it." He said chuckling.
She chuckled too, "It is. What about you? Lone survivor?"
"Nothing that big, I was living in my flat for awhile when this thing broke out then I left, before that I was in school."
"Ah." she said, taking a step over some broken glass not to cut her foot, "I see."
He shrugged and then turned into a small building nearby. "We can hide here until morning."
"Okay. Thanks." she said and sat down, flattening out her dirty, bloody dress and rubbing her aching feet.
"I have some extra clothes if you want, I'm sure they don't fit you but better than what you have."
She nodded, "Alright. Thank you."
He nodded and unloaded a small backpack handing her some clothes.
She thanked him again and turned around to get dressed. The clothes were large but better and she threw the dress on the floor.
"I have some food if you want." He offered looking at her.
"It's alright. You've given me enough. I'll just find somewhere to stay in the morning and look then."
He nodded and leaned against the wall sighing and rubbing his eyes, yawning.
"You can sleep if you want. I'll take first watch." she offered
"No it's fine." He said shaking his head.
She nodded and put the boots on he gave her and put her hair up.
"Besides you look like you haven't sleept in a good while." He said lighting a cigarette and looking down at her.
She nodded, "Okay. Wake me up in an hour." and she curled up on the floor
"There's a cot in here somewhere, do you want me to get it?" He asked.
"The floors fine." she mumbled.
"Hey you're awake." He said walking towards her from the other end of the Building.
She rubbed her eyes, "Yeah. Thanks. I needed that." she yawned.
"No problem." He said shrugging and sighing softly as he headed outside looking around.
Julie followed him, "See anything?"
"It's too dark." He said. "But dawn just about to break, it'll be light soon."
She nodded, "The sunsets are beautiful here. They weren't like it where I come from." she said softly.
"Where do you come from?" He asked softly.
