Are you sure it is a Garro: Collection, and not a novel? I have heard a lot of rumors that it will be a novel focused on Garro this time around
Straight from James Swallow's website http://jamesswallow.blogspot.co.uk/p/...Prose = written version of audio.
But a couple of years ago he did a podcast interview with a site called After Ullanor. http://podbay.fm/show/627493793/e/140...
He said a book version "could" include additional material to bridge the gaps between stories.

Here's ADB posting about it on the Bolterandchainsword forum... http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/to...
I would also recommend reading the entire thread as well, it's mostly about his next novel Master of Mankind, he also talks abit about Black Library as well.
Prose doesn't necessarily mean written version of audio, it just means the words are written in the traditional written format.... if that makes sense lol

Hi all, I know this will be quite off topic, but, I have only recently started collecting Herecy novels. Basicly I am not reading them in the right sequence, does it matter or is it oke? The main problem is, that in South Africa Hammer isnt that huge or advertised as anywhere else Ive seen. So i pick up anything HH or Hammerwise I can. So far Ive enjoyed reading them. I like following the descussions here so please keep on. Thank you
Hey Dawie, welcome! In some cases, it doesn't matter, and in others it does. Some novels work out to be direct sequels of others (such as Vulkan Lives and The Unremembered Empire) or they are heavily connected (such as A Thousand Sons and Prospero Burns)
I think if you can read them in order, you should, as it's really all a mess chronologically and following this many characters. I mean, book 23 follows on from book 5 and 20, while book 24 follows on from book 14, and really most books are connected in some small way. That said, it wouldn't ruin the series if you didn't read every single book in order. Book 28 can be read pretty much any time, along with A BUNCH of others. So maybe before you start any 1 HH novel, just hop on here and ask us folks if there's anything you should read first?
Thank you, The ones ive read so far Ive done Angel Exterminatus and Legion, I have an Unremembered Empire, but will hold of on that for a while still. I never played the board game, but what got me into exploring the world was the first Warhammer game I played on PC. Dawn of War, its been about ten years since then since I could find literature in the shops over here. I must say I am very happy with my collection so far.
cant imagine understanding anything right without the first 3 at least.. i did like u did started with stuff in the middle and i had to read em all again. i live in egypt an i have the same problem ur facing. i have to order by amazon or wait till someone's coming from the uk. be prepared cause from now on ur not reading anything else. ur novel tainted for life

Pardon me for jumping in here! Just to be clear, 'Vow of Faith' is an all-new original story and not an adaptation of any previous Garro audio drama.
I'm reading it right now, I put down Pharos to start Vow of Faith. The Garro story-arc has been my favourite part of the Horus Heresy series. I'm very glad that long absent characters are being revisited again in this novella.

The Garro audio dramas are going to be collected together in a novel called Garro: Vow of Faith, by James Swallow.
There's going to be 2 new anthologies coming - War Without End + Eye of Terra.
Gav Thorpe has recently announced his next HH novel Angels of Caliban is almost finished.
Aaron Dembski-Bowden is past the halfway point with Master of Mankind (The War in the Webway).
Nick Kyme has been posting on his twitter account that he has started work on a sequel (as yet untitled) to his novel Deathfire and that he has completed a short story called Sons of the Forge to bridge the gap between those 2 books. Also he has a Audio drama Red-Marked in the pipeline.
There's still no word on the next Thousand Sons novel Crimson King by Graham McNeill which is disapointing.
