:)
I STILL love it :-) I liked Betty White so much as Rose--the whole quartet was just perfect. I tried watching "Hot in Cleveland", but the whole bit about these women desperately seeking men turned me off. "The Golden Girls" was about friendship in a very special way.

I didn't know that was the premise :s"I only tried it a few times because of Betty White--but she mostly is given one-liners to throw into the sexual innuendo mix. I wish they'd let her be in something with Bob Newhart! He was a HOOT on "Big Bang Theory", which I really enjoy.

The one aspect that I did enjoy from Hot in Cleveland is all the older stars cameo appearances. But, you're right Julia, Betty White's character has very little in the way of story lines.
Day of the Trifles? A Separate Piece? (everyone wants their own slice of pie, right?)
Did anyone ever read Toad Food and Measle Soup as a kid?

This game idea was inspired by an episode of "The Golden Girls" in which Dorothy went to a restaurant where the dishes had literary titles. For example, one dish was called "For Whom the Stuffed Bell Pepper Tolls." Other dishes included, "The Crepes of Wrath" and the "Edgar Allen Poe-tato Salad."
So, let's come up with some ideas to put on our "literary menu" together.
We may use book titles and authors to inspire our dishes!
