I'm in no hurry. I can read this next month if you don't think you have time this month. So far this one's not love at first sight, so I can wait :P .

Chapter 4
(view spoiler)[So, he has a rich father that is a psychopath and a judge. That's going to be hard to beat. His obsessions with Queens is also strange, and the fact that he doesn't consider this a big deal. A chest board with a missing piece can't be sold. Dumb, you can see his from a rich family and doesn't appreciate the true value of money. (hide spoiler)]

Christian and Jace? Those names are both big shoes to fill if you ask me

Really? O.O I know Jace from The mortal instruments [didn't like him]. If Christian is from 50 shades then I don't want to know XD.

I was thinking Christian from Vampire Academy haha

Just finished chapter 4.. So far it's okay.. I picture the dad as Marcus from Divergent Movie, maybe just because he's recent in my mind.

It's interesting that he likes to steal queen chess pieces, I wonder why. And Christian obviously has some issues with sharing... that scene was awkward when he asked Jace if he wanted any tea.. Wonder what that's all about

Chapter 6 (view spoiler)[ What a weird chapter.. you can totally see how much of an impact their father has had on Jace's brain... the way he switches back and forth in his rambling process is very interesting. So is the differences and similarities between Christian and Jace (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 11 (view spoiler)[ Uh oh yikes... Jace has some of that bad in him.. I can tell why this book is called Split even if there has been no reference to it (hide spoiler)]

I'm liking it so far... nothing too exciting going on but interesting none the less. 51% (view spoiler)[ Okay so it seems like Jace is attracted to all the wrong things in girls.. Lauren was just terrible for him and messed up in her own way.. They connected over being messed up and it was all sorts of twisted. I like Dakota best.. I feel like she won't put up with his shit and hopefully make him change and deny that desire to be a product of his upbringing. (hide spoiler)]

Through Chapter 25.. This book is making me weirdly emotional and I can NOT put it down

I'm so behind again. Will try to read more today. :)

Also, he asked his mother to come, but not Jace. And Jace is partially unstable, how he can't control his anger and stuff... I think he never wanted to help Jace because he thought his little brother will turn out just like their father. so now he's stuck between trying to do what's right and just giving up on him. That's interesting that you think that Christian asked his mom to come and Jace didn't because by the end you see it kinda the opposite

I felt like you could see the "split" in Jace's mind. He was split between being an abuser and being a victim trying helplessly to get away from the bad in his life
