Have you read the sequel, Lydia? I didn't like it as much as the first one, but it was still good :) I'm looking forward to the third book!

I agree completely, David, I loved Blood Read Road, but didn't like Rebel Heart as much. Raging Star comes out this year sometime (I forget when) and I'm hoping it will be good!

And that's actually a good comparison, I had never thought of that! I honestly haven't read many books like Fire Country!!

I agree with you guys––really liked Blood Red Road but wasn't a huge fan of Rebel Heart. Maybe the third one will make up for it. ;)

Yeah, Saba was just so...annoying in Rebel Heart. She was like a different person. Almost everything I loved about her character seemed to disappear. But there was one new character who I LOVED in Rebel Heart: That dude that was wearing the dress! He was HILARIOUS!

I loved the comparison, especially coming from Mike Mullin, whose writing I ADORE! I think it was the slang combined with the hot desert environment :)

The ending of rebel heart was kind of creepy. Tommo :S

Yes exactly! I can't believe I hadn't thought of that. In my defense, its been a LONG time since I've read Blood Red Road! I might reread it before Raging Star. I'll just kind of skim Rebel Heart, though ;)

Yes, exactly! I thought she was really cool in Blood Red Road and then in Rebel Heart she kept making the absolute worst decisions and just being really annoying in general. :P Although yeah, some of the new characters were pretty great!
