I knew a couple of them had guest starred in some Defenders stories, but never really thought of them as Defenders.
It's like if they called the TV show the Fantastic Four, because Luke served a brief stint on that team as well.
Plus, I'm old school, Luke and Fist are Heroes for Hire. I still have trouble thinking of them as Avengers.

Oh, I just noticed your avatar.
Good choice. Always liked that cover.

Marvel Knights, you are right that is best. But for TV show just Mavel nights, having most of thier adventures at night. Thanks Travis, just to show how long I been a Batman fan, Batman comic I fell in love with. Reading and re-reading-tracing the figures- Had no idea the back stories were even reprints. For a while I just knew Manhunter was coming back next issue, just knew it.
There is a fair amount of Daredevil news.. they have cast Matt, Foggy, Karen Page, Stick, Wilson Fisk, Leland Owsley, the "Night Nurse"... this show should be pretty good..
So, I haven't seen the Daredevil trailer, but the still photos has him wearing the same black outfit from the Hulk TV movie in the 70's.
Not thrilled to see no red suit, but really looking forward to all the verbal acrobatics as to why the black suit is really cool, realistic and not goofy like the one from the Hulk movie.
That should be fun.

So, anyone else watched Daredevil?
I've only seen the first episode, but I think they are off to a strong start.
Solid cast and writing, good use of DD's history and a couple easter eggs for the comic fans.
Very street level and dark, so some of the violence was hard to take. I don't think I'll be binge watching it, but think they are doing a good job.

Not yet but my mum is downloading the comics first so I can read the comics then start to watch the show

What DD comics are you getting?
What DD comics are you getting?
So, second episode of DD is just as strong as the first. Such a good cast and really solid writing.
Brutally violent still, but if the other shows are half this good, I will be impressed.

I'm VERY interested in this show once I saw the trailers in the theaters. Hearing how it is realistic about street level life only feeds my interest xD
Trailers are out for Luke Cage, Iron Fist and a teaser for the Defenders.
All of them look pretty cool.
Really looking forward to the Luke series.
I need to catch up on the marvel shows.

The new Iron Fist trailer was pretty good.
Bit too bloody for me and not loving the lack of costume and that beard, but the action scenes were very cool.
And is that White Tiger...?!!!?

Don't crush my dreams, james.
Having White Tiger show up is the best chance this show has of getting me to overlook that beard and feeble perm Iron Fist is sporting.

So, for my vacation I am going to attempt to plow through the Marvel shows, so I'll be ready for Defenders this summer.
Just about done with season one of Daredevil and while some of the slow pacing bugs me, everything else is rock solid.
This is how you do grim and gritty right.
The fight with the ninja was amazing!
Looking forward to the grand finale and then moving on to Jessica Jones.

Saw the Defenders trailer.
Lack of costumes bugs me, but otherwise great action scenes and I like the interaction.
Need to catch up on the solo series so I'll be ready for this.

i had a debate with 2 people at college over the defenders members, they kept insisting that its the ones for the show on Netflix so i showed them the comics and they still argued saying i was wrong

Well, Luke and Daredevil were members for short times and I think Iron Fist showed up in one issue.
Jessica was never a member though.
We are getting a Defenders comic this summer featuring the TV line up.

Love the original Defenders line up.
Keep hoping, now that we have Hulk, Dr. Strange and supposedly Valerie in the new Thor movie that I will get my wish of a big screen version.

Marvel's FCBD offering was a split book that featured our first look at the new based on the TV show Defenders.
Not bad, nice art, very nice group shot and some interesting stuff happening.
Bit annoyed at Bendis that he made Jessica Jones into a damsel in the very first story.
That was lazy and has me worried it'll become a trend.

So, the Defenders comic staring the netflix line up is just not that good.
It has all the elements it should, but it all feels flat and just not very well written.
Shame as I was looking forward to this.

I think the main problem with the Jessica Jones TV show is that the least interesting character is Jessica Jones.
Everyone else in the cast is good or at least interesting.
Jessica just gets on my nerves.

Just started watching Luke Cage and if they can keep up this pace and tone, as well as the quality of writing, I will be a happy guy.
Lots of good casting and a ton of easter eggs in the first two episodes.
Good stuff.

Aside from the costume change, Luke Cage is on track to be one of the most faithful comic book adaptions.
So impressed with how they are handling things.
Though, they made of the old costume, but worked to keep 'Sweet Christmas!"...?

Like how the marvel shows are creating their own little mini-universe..
They reference the movies but can't do a ton, but have set up things that overlap between the shows.
Nicely done.

So, are the netflix marvel shows going away?
aside from Daredevil, nobody seems to be getting a season 3.
Are they going to be shifted to Disney's streaming site or are we saying good-bye to Luke, Danny etc...?
Be a shame to lose all that.

So many of us were enjoying the shows, and they were doing quite well. Stinks if they're ditching them. Disney plus is talking about what-if worlds, including a Peggy Carter. Not the same. And Disney branding seems like it'll be lighter.
Unfortunately, with the switch in rights, disney has a moratorium of two years before then can use the netflix casts.
So, it doesn't look good.
Plus disney+ isn't allowing R-rated content.
And not sure how I feel about movie characters getting a TV show.
Why not just give them a movie?

Okay, technically none of these guys were members of the Defenders, not sure why they couldn't call it 'Marvel Knights ' or 'Heroes for Hire'
And I would have preferred Spider woman or Mockingbird rather then Jessica Jones get a TV show, but otherwise, this is pretty cool news and I'm looking forward to marvel creating a TV universe to rival their movie one.
