Louise stood in the side garden with her rather large Weimaraner, Lacy, in tow. She tapped her ballerine pink nails against her thigh in boredom- she loved this dog to death, but they had been outside for what seemed like hours.
Louise turned to Annabeth, then looked at the relentless weeds. "Ah, yes. Someone will have to take care of that." She thought of the gardener- well, the one they'd have to employ.
Louise nodded gracefully. "Who are you?" She inquired. This girl was a rare beauty- so certainly one of the rich guests. Louise had to know all about Annabeth then.
"I am Louise Norwood, pleased to make your acquaintance." Louise gave Annabeth a small smile as she patted Lacy on the head. "I am the mistress of Ivy Hall, if you aren't aware. I'm also the person who invited you here."
Louise had a mental eyeroll. Modeling. Tiring. "I too, understand. I was quite the socialite in my younger days, and now lesser so." She looked at Annabeth- decent dress sense, teenage? "Perhaps you'd be a great companion to my daughter, Adelaide. She would enjoy some company I'm sure, of the teenage variety."
"Ah, you look so deceivingly young!" Louise tittered, taking note of Annabelle's first faux-pas: admitting her age. Louise tutted mentally, instead bringing up another of her favorite subjects... etiquette. "Ah, Annabeth, perhaps you shall give me some advice. What should I serve for after dinner drinks at my dinner next week? And what dances should we dance?" Louise waited in anticipation.
"Well Annabeth, you certainly know your stuff! I think sherry and the waltz shall do just fine." Louise was quite impressed- she might've been a model, but was no high society airhead like most of the young girls she saw. "Would you like to help with the decor? I was thinking a dove grey and cream color scheme would be just splendid."
"I was thinking white peonies for flowers." Louise told Annabeth, strolling around. "Thoughts?"
Louise knew she had the best day, and with the help of Annabeth, her dinner would be absolutely smashing! She thought about the menu, wondering if anything should be changed.
"Ah. I was thinking a light Caprese salad, or perhaps Wardolf to fit more American tastes, followed by a light tomato bisque, or the heavier, seafood rich bouillabaisse. Main course would be a lovely seared steak. Perhaps sorbet for dessert." Louise said. She wanted to have a light meal, so people could dance. Niçoise salad wouldn't be bad either now that she thought about it.
Louise lapped up the praise from the young lady. "Ah. It looks like Lacy is ready to retire from the outside. Care to join me inside?"
