(( WOOHOO! Want to start? Oh, like, where do we start though? Has he found her room and started to throw rocks at it? xD ))
(( Quick question first; are we picking up from where she ditched him in the halls or starting in the future or starting again or?? Sugar high right now! WEEEOOOO! Firetruck. ))
(I was thinking this could be a couple of hours later, after she's left him in the halls? and he'll make innuendos at dinner, and she can be nervous that her family will find out so she eventually drags him off and is just like you're an idiot)
Bae's afternoon had been eventful, to say the least. After practice with the group, well he'd had a run in with the girl from the morning, Katy. The two had bantered back and forth, as well as kissed at one point, then she'd left him practically at his door and disappeared. Bae had been stewing over it all in his room until dinner was announced by a footman. Bae sighed, tugging at the tie he was being required to wear, it wall a bit much for the young singer. He made it loose, instead of tight, giving him a reckless look, actually complimenting his image, instead of making him look lacking. The walk to the dining room gave him time to think about what he would say to Katy, if she showed up. The doors were opened for him as he got closer to the double doors, he was announced upon entry, his eyes quickly scanned the room, zoning in on Katy, she had a space beside her empty. Bae bee lined his way to that spot before a footman could lead him elsewhere, and sat down without warning, "Hello love," He cheerfully spoke, as he reached for a dish that looked particularly appetizing, being very casual with the princess, and not caring about those that might be listening or paying them attention. Bae had never been one to care about what others thought, he just did his own thing, screw the consequences.
At her mother's suggestion, the cooks had prepared an Asian style feast, a recognition of that fact that their entertainers for the Selection were not from Illea. Everything just has to remind me of him tonight, doesn't it? Katherine thought with a sullen sigh. At least I will be able to enjoy a healthier meal than usual. Since she was so pedantic about staying healthy and fit, Katherine sometimes had to get special food made for her, not liking how her brother's got their way all the time and were able to order pizzas for the family dinner. Having been one of the first to arrive, Katy had already dished up her meal, and was just lifting a piece of food to her mouth when a perky, silky, male voice piped up near her right ear. The food promptly set off flying, making an arc in the air before landing on the white table cloth. He has certainly made her jump in surprise. Katherine set her chopsticks down on their holder and kept her gaze averted to hide the blush creeping onto her face. "Good evening," she said politely, not wanting to act any different than how she usual would towards someone other than family. Her siblings and parents would suspect something was up if she chatted and acted all buddy buddy with Bae.
There were even sticky rice cakes, Bae's stomach growled, and he piled his plate high, snickering some when Katy treated him like any other guest that might just come over and sit beside her. Picking up his chopsticks he picked up some chicken, chewing thoughtfully before leaning in towards Katy. To him, well he was just being more private with their conversation, but to everyone else, the action might look suggestive, seductive even, because of his body language, and how personal he seemed to be with her. "Are you treating me as if we've only just met? Should I remind you of how we had some chemistry just a while ago? Or of how my body felt hot against yours in that hallway?" His lips brushed her ear as he spoke, his tone was husky, and he really was purposely trying to stir up feelings, urges, to make her uncomfortable, to get back at her for treating him so casually. Bae leaned back, satisfied with himself, and continued eating the feast before him, acting as if nothing had happened just then, though there were a few stares thrown his, and Katy's, way after that.
Katherine was suddenly even more grateful that she had to eat with chopsticks, knowing that if she was holding a knife in her right hand, it may have slipped, missed her plate, missed the table entirely, and dug into the firm flesh of Bae's meaty, worked out thigh. She actually managed to alarm herself with her own thoughts, and they threw her just about as much as his words had. She had, of course, not forgotten his touch at all. Part of her still craved it and wanted more of it. That not only confused her, it went against everything she knew, and everything she was raised for. To be married off and to scorn love with anyone but a royal entirely. The looks she was getting were not helping the flush that was rising up her necks and dancing upon her cheeks. Her entire body heated up a degree or two and Katherine had to shift in her chair slightly to remain comfortable. "Officially speaking, we have only just met," Katherine said softly, feeling her appetite diminish slowly. Appetite for food, anyway. "Unofficially, well, I think it would be best if we both pretend that nothing happened. Don't you?"
Officially? Officially they'd only just made out in a hall earlier that day, and had a few quarrels, as well as a kind of dance off. He could name a lot of 'official' things that had happened over the course of the day, but he didn't think the princess would appreciate his doing so. Bae pretended to drop a chopstick, it clattered to the floor between himself and Katy. The only thing he could do was get them, right? Bae ducked down to retrieve the fallen chopstick, but as he did so, well you could say he had some mischief in mind. Nothing was simple for him, he had to make any situation complicated, it was just who he was. Bae's other hand touched Katy's ankle, and slid up her well muscled calf, that was as far as he went, but he knew that it would be enough, he got the chopstick successfully and sat back up as if he was as innocent as a babe. A servant came forward and replaced the chopsticks, Bae muttered his thanks, then turned to look at the reaction Katy might have from his play.
Katherine was reaching the end of her tether, and ended up slamming her chopsticks down, albeit a little too hard to be casual. She earned a few querying looks and she just gave them all a sweet smile, taking a sip of her water like the food had been too warm for her taste. They all returned her smile, some a little bit weary to do so, before returning to their own conversations. Katy shot Bae a glare. "You," she said angrily, keeping her voice a low hiss. "Follow me. Now." Scrunching up the napkin on her knees and tossing it onto the table as she got up, Katherine excused herself from her family, saying she needed to use the ladies room.
The reaction that Katy gave Bae was not what he'd been expecting. She looked mad, not at all amused as Bae was. Not that it really effected him, he watched as she left the room, with as much regal stature as she could muster. Bae's expression was much more happy than hers, and his step lighter as he followed her out, giving no excuse for himself. She was ahead of him, and he could see how frustrated she was just from the profile of her back. "I guess you don't play much?" Bae asked, his tone jovial, his hands were out in a questioning manner. Bae wasn't taking the situation seriously at all, he didn't consider anything about their dinner to be serious about honestly. It was obvious that Katy would disagree with him though, Bae wasn't sure if he should cover his ears and run, or take it and shrug it off.
By the time they were in the hall, it took all of her self restraint to not thwack Bae upside the head. Or push him into the wall. Or push him over period. A lot of vivid daydreams were running through her mind, but before she could act on them, words started to run out of her mouth. "Are you crazy?!" she hissed, exasperated. "Do you know what could happen to you if my father finds out you and I kissed? Do you know what could happen to me?" She started to pace, energy building up inside of her and making her feel agitated. "I could get married off to some thirty year old guy in Serbia for punishment!"
Oh, well that was different, she looked like she might throw him against a wall and choke him out. Bae took a step back, looking as if she might have just slapped him. She could be married off just because they kissed? He knew the importance of waiting, and asking a parents permission before dating, but being married off just because they kissed? That was utterly ridiculous. "I-" Bae took steps towards her until they were toe-to-toe with one another. His hands reached up and touched her arms, his eyes were serious, all amusement gone as he looked into hers. "I won't let that happen, I won't tell a soul, I didn't mean to put your life in danger Katy," Bae was going up and down with nice and bad guy, but he couldn't let her think that he was completely thoughtless and reckless. Even if he was much of the time.
She was losing ideas about what to do, so she just huffed and let her head drop down onto his shoulder. Now that her forehead was resting against him, she closed her eyes and tried to calm herself down. "I don't know why I suddenly care so much about arranged marriages. I've been raised like prized livestock, I know it will happen eventually..." She was being unnecessarily harsh on Bae, she knew that, but something about the way he made her feel was invigorating. Before him, Katy had never felt so alive. Or frustrated. Or anything, really, other than a drone going through day to day life. The exception was when she was with her brothers, but that was different still. "I'm sorry for getting mad at you," she said after a bit, looking up at him with apologetic eyes. "I just don't want you to get in trouble. You could be whipped for being romantic with me--stupid laws! They need to change them." No she just seemed sulky, a dramatic and sudden change to her earlier outburst. "I hate it when people get in trouble over me."
He thought that she might smack him, but instead a look of defeat crossed her face, and she sunk in against him. His hands left her arms and he just stared down at the top of her head for a moment, unsure of what to do next. He'd never really been in such a situation, Bae was at a loss, different emotions flitted across his face as he tried to figure out what to do next. Like prized livestock, the words took him aback, and before he could think twice he was wrapping arms around her to comfort her. There were a lot of things weighing on a princess, things he had no clue about apparently. It made him wonder how wrong he was about the girl in front of him. Her eyes were full of different things as she looked up into his eyes, Bae was speechless. He just held her, looking down into her eyes for a few moments. "First of all, never worry about me. I can take care of myself, always have, always will. Second, don't even think about considering yourself as livestock, you're a woman, a person, a human. You cannot be considered as anything else, period. No one owns you, no matter your station," His voice dropped, becoming husky, "And third, we can't help the chemistry between us, and all I want to do right now is kiss you."
Katy felt her heart flutter at his declaration, his words of reassurance also making her feel light and airy. Even if he was wrong about her not being owned, and even if he was about her not being livestock, he was giving her hope. He was making her feel better. And, dare she admit it, that he was making her fall for her? How could a guy be so... normal? Especially around her. She had never experienced normality, but she was loving it so far. "Then do it," she said softly, looking at him with wide but serious eyes. "Kiss me and take me away from here. I can't stand to be trapped in this fancied up prison any longer." Of course, moving would mean he would have to unwrap his arms around her, and she only just noticed how good it felt to be embraced this way. It was like he was caring about her without trying to get something in return. "Don't let me go," she added, almost a whisper, but with surprise, she realized the hidden depth. She didn't want to get married off and she hoped that maybe he could be the prince who saved her from such a fate, ironic as the term sounded in her mind.
She was egging him on, telling him to kiss her, he closed the distance between them, slowly, his eyes only closing after their lips touched. That spark was there once again, and their bodies melded together as their mouths moved. Bae wondered if anyone had ever felt the way he did in that moment, because it was almost like flying. The two stood toe-to-toe, kissing for a good few minutes. Neither one quite ready to break the endearing kiss, though eventually Bae did pull back, just barely. He knew they had to get out of the hall, lest they get caught, which wouldn't be good for either of them, as she'd already pointed out. "Come on," He murmured, his hand caught hers, and he was dragging her away from the dining hall and down different hallways. One might think that he didn't know where he was going, but there was a path he'd learned between the last time he'd seen Katy and dinner time, it was the way to the exit, he had a car waiting to go to the airport. He hadn't planned on taking her with him, but it looked like she was going, Bae had plans to visit Korea for a few hours that night. But it looked like they would be going together, she'd never been out of the country, so this would be a big deal for the little princess. "I hope you don't get motion sickness," He told her with a grin as they pushed past double doors and went out into the nigh air. He figured they might even stay the whole night, it would be something. A car door was opened, and Bae pulled Katy into the car with him, then gave the driver the go ahead. "I'm going to show you something amazing," He told her, a mischievous grin on his face.
