Juanita (juanitav) | 744 comments Week 43 is in the books. I have little to report.

I've been plodding through The Complete Grimm's Fairytales but it's 800 pages long and taking forever to read. Not to mention the crazy dreams I have when I read it. I still have 5 books remaining.

How was your week?

message 2: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Oh my goodness Juanita, I experience the crazy dream thing too! I thought I was the only one. Sometimes I have such trouble getting through a book because of the weird dreams I have. This week I finished book #39 Prompt A Book That Scares Me. My Story by Elizabeth Smart. My goal has been to catch up but I'm struggling. Hope things slow down for me now that it's the holiday season. I've got a couple breaks coming up from work. I hope to have some extra time to read.

message 3: by Sara (new)

Sara I've only got one prompt left. I'm reading Gods and Generals for a book set in my hometown. It isn't a bad book, but I have sooooo many other things I want to read! I'm reading Kate Morton's new book, The Lake House, and am starting to read Christmas books. I need to apply myself to this last book!

Katherine (kiik) | 158 comments This week I finished American Sniper (set in a different country). NaNoWriMo starts today, so I'm really hoping I can do both and not fall behind.

Tara Bates | 1008 comments I'm working on one that's taking forever but I only have a few more and the rest are pretty quick hopefully

message 6: by Jackie (new)

Jackie | 738 comments I read Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and Anthem this week. I've got 7 left so I'm trying to power through a couple this week.

message 7: by Kaci (new)

Kaci | 67 comments This week I reread Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. I liked it much more than I did the first time I read it in middle school. I'm using it to fill my banned books category mostly because I wanted to read it. I'm fascinated in general by the reasons in which books become "banned" in modern society so I'm excited to read more.

Tara Bates | 1008 comments Just finished The Cuckoos Calling by Robert Galbraith. That's 45 for me! I am going to finish this challenge.

message 9: by Christophe (new)

Christophe Bonnet Was out of town for a week, took a few books with me. Finished reading La Princesse de Clèves (classic romance - you don't get much more classic than that!); also, read Bones Never Lie by Kathy Reichs as a book which was turned into a TV show.

On top of that, I finished one book yesterday, and two are on their way... That will leave me with only two empty slots to finish the challenge!

message 10: by Megan (new)

Megan (mghrt06) | 546 comments No progress to report. I didn't finish any books so I still have the same 7 prompts to go.

How did you like it? I just finished reading the third one, Career of Evil, for my Book that Scares You.

And that's 45 for me too, what a coincidence!

message 12: by Tara (new)

Tara Bates | 1008 comments I really liked it actually. I'm not usually into mystery type books but I liked how it was written and it definitely kept me interested

Emily (emilyesears) I finished Slaughterhouse-Five for a banned book today. It was my first completed prompt in like a month so I'm quite pleased. I've done 42/52 now.

message 14: by Neptunalia (last edited Nov 07, 2015 02:13PM) (new)

Neptunalia (wxguesser1800) I completed the challenge today! I just finished Angela's Ashes to fulfill the Pulitzer Prize category.

Although I replaced several longer books with shorter books to ensure that I finished the challenge, I'm happy to report that I read/listened to a different book for each prompt. #52of52
