Ashpaw padded into the clearing, a fat rabbit in her mouth. She dropped it into the fresh kill pile and stopped to wait for Rabbitpaw.
Ashpaw smiled at Rabbitpaw. "Let's eat now so I don't have to listen to your stomach complain anymore."
Ashpaw took a small mouse and padded over to the outside of the apprentices den. She happily munched on her mouse, and when she was done she lay down and stretched out, letting the sun warm her gray fur.
((Your not, I was practically doing my fangirl scream a few minutes ago.))Ashpaw heard Rabbitpaw's breathing steady and she realized he had fallen asleep. She slowly sat up, careful not to wake him, and gazed at her sleeping friend.
"Only a few minutes." Ashpaw mewed. She was beginning to think that she might like Rabbitpaw as more than just a friend, but she pushed that idea aside. There's no way he feels the same way, she thought.
"Okay, good." Rabbitpaw said as he stood up."She's pretty cute, nah there's no way she feels the same." Rabbitpaw thought.
Ashpaw backed up as Rabbitpaw rose, making sure they didn't have another collision. "It's been an awfully slow day apparently." She mewed, gesturing with her head to the lack of movement around camp.
Ashpaw thought about it. "Maybe, but what sort of thing would be going on around here? Windclan doesn't exactly see a lot of action." She stated.
"Yeah, but that's not nessicarily a bad thing, at least there's not as much fighting in the clan anymore." Ashpaw replied, glancing at the black and white cat when he wasn't looking.
"Yeah, I'm almost starting to miss the action." Rabbitpaw said, completely oblivious to her glances.
Ashpaw shook her head. She tried to shake her feelings away, but it didn't work. "I don't. I'd rather it be peaceful."
"Would you rather be like Riverclan with the biggest bully ever for a leader?" Ashpaw mewed. She didn't understand tom cats desire for battles.
"Hehe, watch out with what you say, when I'm leader, I'm going to make him seem like the nicest get in the world." Rabbitpaw purred.
"Let's be honest, every apprentice and warrior wants to be leader, it's only a bad thing if it influences your thoughts." Rabbitpaw said.
"But on the other hand, can you see Badgerfur as our leader, what would that be like, except one of the worst things ever?" Rabbitpaw said.
Ashfur shifted uncomfortably. "Well for starters we would never save any cats that weren't from Windclan."
"More like we would never spare any cats that aren't from Windclan." Rabbitpaw said as his fur began fluffing a bit.
Ashfur nodded, but she was uncomfortable. She never could understand how such a sweet, funny, kind cat like Rabbitfur could have a brother like that. ((Should his brother join?))
((He's coming ... NOW))"Well well, my little failed brother and ... I'm sorry what was your name again?" Badgerfur said.
"Leave us alone." Rabbitpaw said.
Ashpaw could sense the hatred between Badgerfur and Rabbitfur. Badgerfur was a known bully and was big, so she didn't respond to his question.
"Alright then, so Rabbitpaw, when are you going to act like a clan cat and drive intruders such as this little kittypet here." Badgerfur said.Rabbitpaw's fur fluffed up, making him seem twice as big.
"Good luck trying to impress me kittens." Badgerfur snarled.
Ashfur glared at Badgerfur hatefully. "Leave him alone!" She snapped at him. She knew it wasn't wise, but she didn't care.
"Stay out of the business of Clan cats, even kittypets are ashamed to have such a failure as you in their ranks." Badgerfur snarled.Rabbitpaw tried to control his anger. "She's more clan like than you are, so leave her alone." Rabbitpaw said.
"Oh I'm sorry, you're right, you're too much of a failure to be a kittypet, more like a Kittymouse or something." Badgerfur snarled."That's it." Rabbitpaw said as he ran towards Badgerfur. Badgerfur used his forepaw and pushed Rabbitpaw aside.
Ashpaw nearly took a swipe at Badgerfur herself, but she knew that wouldn't be wise. "I maybe small and I may not be from here but I'm a better fit for this claan than you." She turned towards Rabbitpaw, making sure he's alright.
"Sure little kit, believe what you think ... and who told you I was done with him." Badgerfur snarled as he gave Rabbitpaw a cut on his stomach.
Ashpaw forgot how small she was and ran strait towards Rabbitpaw. She jumped between him and his brother and snarled at Badgerfur. "Leave him alone!"
"Oh I get it, you love the little failure don't you." Badgerfur mocked. "Well your little love makes me wanna hurt something, so get out of my way." Badgerfur said.
Anger boiled inside Ashpaw, deep inside. "To get to him, you have to get through me." She didn't care if he was three times her size, she wasn't going to move.
Ashpaw doged his swipe and rolled right under him. Before he could react she clawed his under belly than raced out from under him.
Badgerfur turned around, seemingly not hurt at all. "Little kittypet is going to the medicine den." Badgerfur said as he leaped at her.
