I am looking for an excellent book on apologetics to give to someone. Does anyone have a recommendation of one you've read?

For a simple, easy to read "classic" apologetics book on the question of "Who is Jesus?", I recommend Josh McDowell's book: More Than A Carpenter.
Sorry, I hit enter to soon. Another really excellent book is: John Ortberg: "Who Is This Man?". Here is a 17 minute video to give you a flavor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkyWF...Additionally, if this person you are giving the book to is already a believer that just wants a good reference guide on apologetics, Josh McDowell also published a book called, "A Ready Defense" which is like a dictionary of many examples of apologetics. I hope this helps.
For specific topics, I have a couple that have received strong reviews on Amazon.Melchisedec - A Character Study
The Bible tells us that Jesus is FOREVER a Priest after the Order of Melchizedek... this books studies the attributes ascribed to Melchisedec in the Bible and compares them with Jesus.

Baptisms - One? Many? Or Both?
This book finds all the references to "baptism" in the Bible and studies the elements of each.

If either of these topics interests you... please read the Amazon reviews.
Note: The Melchisedec ebook is on sale today.
Thanks Stephen! I will check that out. I appreciate the reply. Have a great day.Stephen wrote: "I have reviewed several apologetics books on my blog (T2Pneuma.net). Stephen"
Thanks so much. These may be really helpful for me in talking to her as well. I will look into both of these. Andy wrote: "Sorry, I hit enter to soon. I haven't read it in a long time, but I remember Josh McDowell's The New Evidence That Demands a Verdict: Fully Updated being a pretty substantial work. It addresses an enormous amount of issues, and I was pretty influenced by it when I was younger.I also really enjoyed William Paley's old Evidence Of Christianity. It is dreadfully outdated in many ways (he argues, for instance, that Isaiah was most likely written before the gospels - something the Dead Sea Scrolls discovery makes all but certain), but it is a masterpiece of logical reasoning that very few modern apologists can compete with. It is worth the read just to see the way he supports his thesis.
