We always hear the line that we are in a rut and can’t seem to get out of it. We know as Christians that we are supposed to be game changers and to be bold. We are called to be different; but, often we feel as if we are stuck on a merry-go-round that never seems to end. We want to escape and move up the ladder but we are stuck doing our mindless routines. There is an obstacle in our path that prevents us from progressing. Often, we feel chained up and want to wake-up from our nightmare and have someone deliver us to the promise land.
Intellectually, we know we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us, yet often it seems like lip service. Yes, we dream of slaying Goliath and busting down strongholds. Yet we are paralyzed with fear and need a push to get off of life’s diving board. Reading the Bible and going to church can help; however, clearly it is not enough. If you think I’m kidding, look at how the world is going. If you’re tired of living on autopilot, want to be set on fire, and be empowered by the Holy Spirit, consider reading this book.
