So, I just read Coraline by Neil Gaiman. What a weird book. Interesting. Creepy. A little dark for kids, I think. But it kept me reading to the end. ;-)

So far this month, I've read The Perfect Comeback of Caroline Jacobs by Matthew Dicks which was a short, but good read and this morning I finished The Lake House by Kate Morton, my first of her books, but definitely not the last. This book was unputdownable! One of my favorite books this year.
I finished Beach Town by Mary Kay Andrews. If you haven't read this author and like fun women's fiction I totally suggest you check her out. She also has some books I think are a connected mystery series, but I haven't done those yet, so other than telling you I believe she has those I can't recommend them! LOL!!
I saw a post Felicia made in October (just saw it today, so I'm really late to the party!) She made a comment about how much she alone had saved. I have mostly used audios from the library. According to my good reads page I have done 38 audios. I gave them a price of $20.00 each. I know some were more some were less according to Amazon. This means I saved $760 so far!If we do this again next year I think I'm going to be better about tracking the price of each book as I finish it, so I can keep a better tally, and move money from checking to savings and hopefully save a fortune for some fun something!

Finished the latest in Stuart Woods, Stone Barrington series, Foreign Affairs. As usual, a quick and fun read, this time in Rome.
Finished True Colors by Kristin Hannah today. It's been years since I read one of her books. This was pretty good, looks like I'll be looking up more of her backlist in the future.
BJ I love Kristin Hannah! Some of her books require a box of kleenex for sure, but such great reads! Do you have a favorite of hers?I finished listening to The Diary by Eileen Goudge. It's women's fiction, but there was a slight touch of mystery in my opinion. I enjoyed this quick listen.
Whew! I've had a lot of company this month (and more to come) so my reading got put by the wayside for a few days. However, my library hold for Library of Souls by Ransom Riggs finally became available, and I DEVOURED it. Much better than Book #2, it is a fabulous conclusion to the Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children trilogy. Absolutely unputdownable. So much so that I neglected several fall finales on tv so I could finish it! Great read.
Finished my first YA novel, What We Saw by Aaron Hartzler. Really made me think. Its a fictional account of a true story about a sexual assault at a party with underage drinking and basically a school and town's efforts to cover up the assault by star basketball players by putting all the blame on the young woman. Good read.
I just read Peter Pan by JM Barrie in 2 days. Not just two days--two sittings. I love it when I find a classic children's book that I haven't read. There is a reason these stories have lasting appeal--they are just plain GOOD. Well-written, full of adventure, humor, and not pushing any sort of social agenda (as so many children's stories do today). This was a joy. Loved it.
Couldn't sleep, so I finished another one tonight. Different Seasons by Stephen King. Collection of novellas. Not his greatest works, but nice stories.
I listened to Animal Magnetism the first book in the Animal Magnetism series by Jill Shalvis. I really enjoyed this book.I had downloaded another one in the series to listen to, but didn't download the right one! I even checked the website, but somehow got it wrong. Hate when that happens!
Are we continuing the challenge into 2016?
