His style is laid back and it flows. My favorite titles so far are:
The Wicked (This is an homage to old school 80s horror. Great fun!)
Animosity (An intense story about a horror writer. A little over the top but a fast paced, excellent read.)
Ugly As Sin (Don't know how to describe it, but I loved it.)

Yeah, it's all good. I haven't read everything he's written yet, but I've loved what I have read, and he does have a variety of tones and styles, as illustrated by the difference between Ugly as Sin and Animosity.

I'm not sure if this is what Char meant, so I won't speak for her, but I find his style very easy to read, much like Richard Laymon.

The Wicked is good. I don’t think he’s written a bad book. Midnight Rain, Odd Man Out, Animosity, Ugly As Soon, they’re all excellent!
