Zaz | 2969 comments Slade House is (for the moment) my cover book :)
Maze Runner is a love or hate book, so think about an escape plan if you don't want to read the 2nd for week 23 ;)

I see you're planning to read Beacon 23. Have you read other books from Howey or is this your first? I really like what this author writes but Beacon seems a little too SF for me.

Kelly Brown | 371 comments I was going to read Divergent for #10, so I could switch week #23 to Insurgent. I am open to switching all around if I have to.

I have read Sand, Wool, Shift, and The Shell Collector from Howey. I have Dust and Half Way Home on my Kindle to read. I am a Howey fan, and I like sci fi. My pick for week 40 is a novella based in the world of Wool.

Slade House has an awesome cover. I have read reviews saying Slade House relates to his book The Bone Clocks- which I haven't read. Have you read The Bone Clocks?

Zaz | 2969 comments I read all the Silo trilogy and Sand. I saw there are novella based on Wool but I'd prefer some based on Sand (no, really I want a sequel from the author!).

I haven't read Bone Clocks, I didn't know until yesterday that Slade House was related to it. Bam (here) had read both of them and recommends to read Bone Clocks before Slade.

Kelly Brown | 371 comments Good to know. I will have to put Bone Clocks on my list.

And I thought I read somewhere that there will be a sequel to Sand.....

EllenZReads | 172 comments All The Light We Cannot See is really good. The Secret Garden is one of my favorite childhood books. Divergent series was good...I liked it better than The Hunger Games or The Maze Runner, couldn't finish either of those.

Don't know much else about the sequel, but I do know he has his boat he is living on.

Kelly Brown | 371 comments I loved The Hunger Games. I am excited to read All the Light We Cannot See. I hope I like it as much as everyone else does.

Zaz | 2969 comments Oh great! Even if it's not for the next months, it's good to hear he's working on a sequel. There are so many questions I've about this world, I really would like something like Shift, it was a very good prequel. I also totally liked the characters so a true sequel would be great too.

I liked Divergent, it was a smooth read and the characters were good, even if there was nothing new in the dystopian world. The sequels were ok. For me Hunger Games series has more depth on the social side and I can't understand why people like Maze Runner (the idea is good, but the rest???).

Ella | 42 comments I love Howey too! I've read the same ones. I should find a way to add one of his books to this year's challenge.

Jody (jodybell) | 3479 comments I'm reading All The Light too - for the historical fiction week. I am really looking forward to it!

Kelly Brown | 371 comments I had wanted to accomish 40 tasks out of 52 and only got to 30. I got sidetracked towards the end of the year by a computer game. :-/ I also know my list changed big time by being in this group. There were so many books I put on my tbr, and many I read. There were 11 more books I had set to read for this list. It was a really good list. Onwards to 2017!
