Thanks Helen.I'm going to nominate God Stalk, again.
It's not a long book, but has been a favorite for a long time.
:)
I would like to nominate Ladies and Gentlemen of Fantasy 2014, if anthologies are accepted. Thank you.
I'll nominate Alan Garner's Red Shift An influential author, and a difficult literary fantasy that's still marketed as a children's book. Neil Gaiman is a big fan.

Great rec! I have no problem seconding this.
I'd recommend Mage's Blood by David Hair, 1st book in a relatively unknown series. Stars slow but draws you in and has a cool concept driving the plot.Bonus: The 4 book series is now completed, so if you get into it there's no painstaking wait. :P

Place your book suggestions here. Do read through the rules first, please.
1. All nominations must be shelved on GR as fantasy primarily.
2. All nominations must be linked to their book page, or they'll be ignored.
3. All nominations must be seconded.
4. Check our group bookshelf as we won't be including books we've read.
5. No arguing!
You have a week to nominate, then I'll set up the poll, which should leave plenty of time for book-buying.
Rules subject to mod whims ;)
Helen, for the mods.
