Devin Ok everyone! We received a decent response in wanting our own RAVENCLAW book club, so I figured I would take the initiative (:

Here's what I have in mind: I'm thinking the best way to do this is kind of like "Lord of the Flies"- except when you have the shell, it's not for the right to talk, but for the privilege of choosing the month's book.

Devin PS- does anyone have any suggestions for this month's read? A few that come to mind for me is Outlander or I've even heard that The Book of Lost Things is really good. Maybe The Last Unicorn?

message 3: by Karina (new)

Karina I haven't read any of those but I am always willing to try the unknown :). My suggestion is The Once and Future King by T.H White because Merlin and I am pretty sure if Merlin was sorted, he would be a Ravenclaw!

message 4: by Devin (new)

Devin Actually Karina, Merlin was a Slytherin (:

Heather Mashnouk brandon | 1 comments Maybe 11/22/63 or The Princess Bride?

Shanda Strawkas (bluescrapper289) | 6 comments The Casual Vacancy

Cali Coward | 3 comments I LOVED Outlander and wouldn't mind reading it again, but The Book of Lost Things sounds wonderful.

✨ Star Shine✨ (starrshine773) | 5 comments ooooooo this is exciting!!! lets dooo it!!! <3 And I've had The Book Of Lost Things sitting on my shelf for months now, and have yet to read it. But I'm down for anything. I love finding new reads.

Heather (hanneyh1) | 4 comments What about Ender's Game?! I just finished it but would definitely reread. It cannot be understood by simply watching the movie.

Tamara (aviatrixt) | 7 comments Heather wrote: "Maybe 11/22/63 or The Princess Bride?" The Princess Bride was one of the rare exceptions to the rule in which the book is always better than the movie! The book is good, and the movie improved upon a good story.

Devin Agreed! "Perfume" is another that falls under the category of movie being better than book. For any Snape lovers, I would recommend it! ;)

Tracey Lundell | 24 comments Always wanted to read Ender's Game. Has anyone read any of the Discworld series? How the hell do you even start that series?

Tracey Lundell | 24 comments Thank you Vikki!

Well this is the most disappointing news I've heard today! :)

Glendaliz Bosques | 8 comments Hi all! This will be my first book club ever. I have read lots of books throughout my life, but have never been part of a book club. Are there any rules? What are the usual topics that are discussed? Will you guys be posting questions, theories, ideas?

Thanks!

Devin Hi everyone! Just wanted to check in to say that I've done some organizing of our group, and moved some discussions boards into categorized folders. I hope this doesn't cause any difficulty in finding what you are looking for! Please let me know, and if there are any issues, hopefully we can work through them together (:
