HRC Ravenclaw Common Room discussion

Ok everyone! We received a decent response in wanting our own RAVENCLAW book club, so I figured I would take the initiative (:

Here's what I have in mind: I'm thinking the best way to do this is kind of like "Lord of the Flies"- except when you have the shell, it's not for the right to talk, but for the privilege of choosing the month's book.

PS- does anyone have any suggestions for this month's read? A few that come to mind for me is Outlander or I've even heard that The Book of Lost Things is really good. Maybe The Last Unicorn?

I haven't read any of those but I am always willing to try the unknown :). My suggestion is The Once and Future King by T.H White because Merlin and I am pretty sure if Merlin was sorted, he would be a Ravenclaw!

I LOVED Outlander and wouldn't mind reading it again, but The Book of Lost Things sounds wonderful.

ooooooo this is exciting!!! lets dooo it!!! <3 And I've had The Book Of Lost Things sitting on my shelf for months now, and have yet to read it. But I'm down for anything. I love finding new reads.

What about Ender's Game?! I just finished it but would definitely reread. It cannot be understood by simply watching the movie.

Agreed! "Perfume" is another that falls under the category of movie being better than book. For any Snape lovers, I would recommend it! ;)

Always wanted to read Ender's Game. Has anyone read any of the Discworld series? How the hell do you even start that series?

Hi all! This will be my first book club ever. I have read lots of books throughout my life, but have never been part of a book club. Are there any rules? What are the usual topics that are discussed? Will you guys be posting questions, theories, ideas?
