Barb made a great suggestion that we're going to try for 2016.

- There will be a list of up to 20 themes.

- Each month the book selector will choose one book of their personal choice. They will also choose one of the themes, and pick a book to fit.

- After a theme is chosen it will be struck through and not be allowed to be chosen again.

If a theme you really wanted has already been chosen, make that your personal choice book. It's our hope that everyone will get to pick exactly what books they want, and no one will get stuck with a theme the don't want. ☺

So start nominating themes!

Is 'business owners' too vague?

Barb wrote: "Is 'business owners' too vague?"

That's very broad. It needs narrowing down some :)

Oh, by crafts are you thinking as a hobby, for sale in a non-store setting, or a store?

Hmmm ... let me think about that one and get back to you :)

Oh, I think I've got it now. I took crafts (#6) and business owner (#10) as two separate nominations, when I think you meant a business owner of a craft store. So I have you for that and male main character.

Hobby Farm - a small (under 10 acre) farm usually with either animals that others can come see or working with fibers (wool, alpaca) or produce stands, bees, etc. There are several series that come to mind, Josiah Reynolds, who has bees, is one.

message 47: by Beth (new)

Beth | 206 comments I like series set in the outdoors, where the setting plays a large role in the mystery and the development of the characters. An example is William Kent Krueger's Cork O'Connor series that takes place in wild areas of Minnesota. So, I'd like to nominate a theme of "The Great Outdoors." I'm always looking for authors whose love of nature speaks to the readers in their books.

C. we already have our themes for this year. Also, most of yours seem to be pretty limited for series to choose from.

Oh sorry, because of the post above mine, I thought this was also a thread where we could also post themes that we would 'like' to see. Please feel free to delete my posts from this thread, then.
