Yes, the books really seem to stack up. I think they multiply when I'm not looking...just like rabbits. :-)
Good luck with your climb in 2016!

I know they do. Every time I look at my TBR list, it's gotten bigger. Good luck with your climb, too. :)
2. Northanger Abbey 1/5/16I really wanted to like this book as the blurb sounded interesting. It nearly put me to sleep.
3. The Cuckoo's Calling 1/8/16So many f-bombs, I am not as bothered by them in Robert B. Parker's books anymore. Sheesh!

Glad I'm not the only one. :-)
Jessika wrote: "A strong start for you this month! Nice!"Thanks! I'm hoping this continues as I desperately need to make a major dent in my TBR mountain. Before it falls on me anyway.
Bev wrote: "Holli wrote: "10. Life, the Universe and Everything 2/5/16"Love Douglas Adams! Hope you enjoyed it."
I did. Very much so. I lost track of what was going on more than once, but I quite enjoyed the book. :-)
I have yet to finish The Hitchiker's Guide To the Galaxy series. I loved the movie, but the first book was a little 'wtf is going on here' to me and the end was really abrupt.

That was my impression anyway. So I'm curious to see how he continued the trilogy into five books. I enjoyed the movie version also.

Urg! Not fun, this book."
The Odyssey is a bit of slog....I read it back in college. Glad to have it over and done with.

Bev wrote: "Glad to have it over and done with."You and me both. What's sad is I remember liking The Iliad, though it may have been because the other book I had to read for school in addition to it was a real snore. Oh well, I got through it either way. :-)
15. The Count of Monte Cristo 3/20/16I'm not reading anymore classics for a while. We don't mesh, I think. :-(
Jessika wrote: "lol same with me and classics. I always think I should rate it high even if I didn't enjoy out because, well duh, it's a classic so it must be good!"Probably should rate it higher, but I just can't do it. :-)

I'm sorry to hear that this one didn't work for you. I loved it when I read it long ago and far away. I wonder if it would still be a favorite if I read it now?

Bev wrote: "I'm sorry to hear that this one didn't work for you...."I'm sorry as well. I wanted to like it, but I may not have been in the mood for such a huge book. I've had a couple of people say they liked it, so I might try again and see if my opinion changes.
Bev wrote: "You've almost got two mountain peaks notched on your hiking staff!"Whoo-Hoo! I can see the peak from here. :-)
Jessika wrote: "Holli wrote: "24. Mistborn: The Final Empire 4/29/16"Yay! I love the Mistborn series. :)"
It was really good. I wasn't sure what to expect of it and found it quite intriguing. Hard to stop once I started, especially because the audiobook was very well done. :-)
28. Halfway to the Grave 5/14/16(*blows dust off book* yep, this one's been sitting there a while; since well before I joined Goodreads)

I'm ready!
My goal prior to joining Goodreads has always been 100 books. It sounds like a good number to stick with. I'm hoping to put a mega-dent in the books crowding my Kindle. Those freebies and cheapies really stack up on you, don't they? Along with the "ooh, shiny" ones. :-)
