VIckey Ganz | 8 comments i wanna see a Jazz guitarist and a Classical Pianist play out of the same chart. that should be fun to watch, how they improvise and substitute chord progressions into their style.

I just got done with a concert...so awesome. All four orchestras at my school played Carol of the Bells together. It sounded sooooo awesome!!

Lyd's Archive (7/'15 to 6/'18) (violabelcik) I used to be a total opera buff, but my interest was self-destructing.
see, I joined the Metropolitan Opera guild a few years back and they have this magazine Opera News and about a year after I joined, they put this article in about NATASHA, PIERRE AND THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 which is this really awesome musical about aristocrats in Moscow before Napoleon invades and is based on a very small section of War and Peace
tracks from the original cast recording can be found at https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...
It's a pop opera that draws from a lot of different styles, so you're not missing anything with the dialogue being cut, as there is basically none. If you know Hamilton, Phillipa Soo wouldn't have been a Schulyer sister if she weren't Natasha first, so keep that in mind. It's a bit like Hamilton, except it's set in Russia, it's shorter, the characters are not real people, and there's no rapping and a good deal less cussing. (Hamilton is also awesome, but Great Comet holds a special place in my heart, thus my username uses a character and quotes from it)

so that's my pitch for Great Comet. I know it's weird here.

Lyd's Archive (7/'15 to 6/'18) (violabelcik) I was not paid to do that.

I have seen Phantom of the Opera. It is one of my favorites movies ever. I really want to see it performed. I'd like for it to be my first Broadway show.
