I'm sure many of you have heard of and even read Watership Down by Richard Adams. For those who have not read it, I highly recommend this classic work of fiction about a small group of rabbits who have escaped the destruction of their warren and are in search for a new home. It is exciting vivid and extremely well written by Mr. Adams, a great story teller. If anyone is interested in participating I would be pleased to start a blog to discuss the book. Best.. Charles

Thanks Charlies. I have the book on hand, but haven't read it. I believe it was a movie? Am I right? If it was I'm pretty sure I seen it or something similar. However, that was a long time ago.
Thanks for the response Barb. Yes..it was made into a successful animated film in 1978. Very impressive effects, and Art Garfunkle's song, Bright Eyes, will bring a tear to yours and for those who see the film.It was also a BBC series from 1999 - 2001. The book however is brilliant for its use of landscape as part of the narrative. It's fun to see the different filmed versions of this great work. But you don't really need to see the films to capture the full enjoyment of the narrative as told from the rabbits' viewpoint.

It was an amazing book (and still is!). I read that it's one of the few that has NEVER gone out of print since it first came out. I loved the story, and it helped inspire some of my own writing.
